We're staying in an Air B&B room on the 12th floor, very nice, great view of the river and surrounds. Lots of eating places within a few minutes walk. The room is very sound proof, or you can have the balcony door open and watch n hear the planes come in to land or take off.
An excellent stop over hotel, whether departing by boat or plane. We really enjoyed our short stay here and it would not hesitate to go back. We stayed on a recommendation from friends and we are so glad that we changed to this hotel. It 100% felt like a home away from home.
The location was on the River and in a very nice neighborhood, with plenty of places to eat and a grocery store within feet of the hotel. The rooms were laid out perfect, with a full kitchen and washier/dryer. The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. I would highly recommend the hotel and would stay at the location again.
So many positives about this place and really enjoyed our stay. The only downside is traffic noise if you get a room on the main road side. I don't think this would be such an issue on a weeknight but we stayed on a busy Sat night and it was quite noisy until late evening. Otherwise it's a great hotel in a great location.
Absolutely dismal. The bathrooms were filthy. Brown sticky stains on floors. The bathroom drain in the centre of the bathroom was full of brown gunk…a combination of dust, grime and lint. The shower screens were white with soap scum and shower frames corroded and covered in what looked like rust and lime. Living room furniture very stained and furniture on balcony greasy and dirty.nnWe checked in, saw the room and checked straight back out. When we checked out we were asked to take photos of the issues in the bathroom and forward them to the manager. Hello!! How about you do that job yourself!!nnOn the positive side, when we checked out of Alcyone we checkec into W. Wow, what a hotel…simply superb!
