I visited this clinic last week after being coerced to come down during a phone call the day prior. I went in skeptical as I had done a little reading on the options prior to the appointment, unfortunately the vibe I got from the place was something along the lines of 'something is not right here'. I had an hour session with a man named Tim, I was initially under the impression the staff here are doctors..... they are salesmen. Whist he seemed somewhat knowledgeable about the products and services Advanced Hair Studio has to offer, when I probed him about how the drugs and treatments work. It was very clear that he had memorised a sales pitch and didn't actually know the products actually worked (if they do at all???). He took some photos of my hair up close and told me what they could offer me. What I was offered was laser treatment (there are no clinical studies on it being effective), minoxidil, finasteride and saw palmetto. With some texturising shampoo on the side, all for the low low price of $4500 YES $4500!!!!! I rang him the following day to ask if I could omit the laser light therapy as there is no evidence it works and he couldnt tell me how it works at all besides mentioning it used 'infrared lasers' lol. I was told no, the program is fixed (even though he sold it to me as being bespoke for me........). I also mentioned I had looked up exactly what he offered me and that i could get all of it myself for a third of the price. Minoxidil and Finasteride are actually very affordable and I found an unlimited laser service near me for $1500 for 9 months. I asked him, why is it so expensive?? Why cant you tell me itemised what each service costs?? Can you please provide me with peer reviewed journals detailing the treatments effectiveness? He promised to respond but hasnt, this place is a joke that preys on the insecure. If you're a sucker with 4.5k to pay for commercials and 'senior consultants' salaries, ask for Tim at Advanced Hair Studio.

Visited the East Melbourne location on a number of occasions and had nothing but pleasant experiences to share - starting from the moment you walk in the door and greeted from the friendly faces at reception, to the moment you leave. Professional and friendly service all around
