Stayed in eco tent 11, was a very good spot, had parking and in the shade. The camping ground is beautiful with lots of trees and wildlife plus on the beach. It is a great place for kids. The only thing I can complain about is the tiny George forman grill that is provided because you can barely cook a meal.
Awesome stay here, very family orientated, play grounds, kids are free to ride their bikes. Amenities are only as good as the user's may leave them for the next user, which was . Water taps available throughout the facility. Two outside Showers between the beach and camping areas. Great place to stay with friendly staff.
Good camping on the water front with lots of shade but sites there quite small. Toilet facilities quite a walk away. Hopefully in the future some facilities built closer. Clean and basic camp kitchen. Expensive in peak season for unpowered site. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great camping destination right on Waters edge. Great fishing. Camp-site reservations team were very helpful, a few mistakes along the way, but they quickly rectified those & Friendly. Camp-site was well looked after. ONE SUGGESTION. That they send the grounds manager on dealing with tourist & customers training. A number of the campers complained about his hard arse attitude. Can just spoil an otherwise great weekend.
Our camp site was quite litterally a walkway. We were forced to move our tents into everyone's way. I can recommend visiting the beach, then staying somewhere else; it's a shame to see how downhill the place has gone.
Blessed with an ecotent for 4 nights. Just perfect! Beautiful double bed, central fan, fridge and sand free floors...its a hotel room without a bathroom, which clean and well kept only a short walk away. Adder Rock beach a 2 min walk to calm crystal clear waters. Home beach a 4 min walk to surf and all the beach you could want to walk along. Staff friendly and accommodating. I loved falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves and curlews. Highly recommend and will be going back.
Stayed at one of the Eco Tents recently for a long weekend and it exceeded our expectations. It was well equipped with a full fridge and freezer, cooking utensils, and even a small outdoor grill. It was a very comfortable stay. The amenities were well kept. The location is fantastic. A very easy check in and check out.Rooms: 5/5
The sites are well organised and well managed. Bathrooms and Kids playground are located in the middle of the sites, pretty conveniences. Hot water in bathrooms is time limited. Have to press the button outside the shower. Quick shower is suggested. Very clean cooking wares. Fire is not allowed but gas cooking is fine. Walking distance to the beach. Soft sand on the beach. Consider 4WD only. Overall it is a nice place.
Avoid eco-tent #6 ... Worst location ever in a camping ... Close to the road 2m entering the camping and facing directly the 2x huge garbage bins ...i wonder who thought it's a good location for "glamping" ?! I give 2 stars because the beach is awesome but that has nothing to do with the noise from every car entering or exiting the camp ground or every person dumping their garbage in the bins across the tent. Also the facilities are worned out and need some upgrade but I doubt that will ever happen. Will return to Straddie but will find proper accomodation.
Stayed at a tent site right at the beach edge. Not a huge fan of camping but this was a game changer. The outlook, the set up of the whole camp ground, the view, and the beach is something else. My sister and her family book the same spot each year. Now I know why.
