Colin and Cynda have always been most professional and helpful over the years we have rented through them. They have a lot of experience in the local area, and have always co-operated in finding the best tenants in a sometimes difficult market. We would recommend them and their friendly staff.

Activerealestate Toowong: 15 November 2017 We have, over the last three years, been in a rental property (Toowong) managed by Colin & Cynda Searl and their dedicated team of alert, polite and professional staff; this team is truly exceptional! We are moving out next week (going overseas) and want to leave this review - Call them by phone – answered within three or four rings Email them – a response is generally the same day Report for a repair – done within two days or same day if an emergency Never a frown, never an excuse just a can do attitude with oodles of good will. This is a straight dealing company; they say it as it is and somehow (they really excel in this) they work equally hard for both the renter and the owner; they have looked after this unit we have rented as if it were their own (the owner is very fortunate) and at the same time they have always made us feel fully able to relax and have quiet enjoyment of the unit. Inspections always done on the dot! And they look to maintain standards (just what I’d want as an owner). Cynda is especially focused – on one occasion a plumber attended to fix a WC pan which involved the removal and then replacement of the same WC Pan. Job done and Cynda came round to inspect: Cynda got down, almost on her knees, very low, to look at the work: – no…not good enough! Two securing screws had not been replaced! Plumber was called back and missing securing screws put in and Cynda was then happy to pass the job as meeting the required standard. I could list several other similar events where Cynda always ensured all should be as it needed to be – correct, serviceable and everyone is getting value for money. So, really, really happy to recommend Activerealestate - they do actually care. They are a company to confidently build a relationship with (certainly in the rental market from our experience) they work hard in getting positive outcomes and it shows – look at this review! I saw a quote early today: ‘Worry about being better; bigger will take care of itself. Think one customer at a time and take care of each one the best way you can’ (Gary Comer) This sums up Activerealestate – they think one customer at a time and take care of each as best they can! Colin and Cynda have been our property managers for around 19 years. We have found them to be fair and straight, looking after not only us, but our tenants also. On visiting our unit after a vacate we were puzzled to find Colin cleaning the oven. He said it wasn't properly clean, and rather than get the tenant back, he'd do it himself. He also proceeded to replace a blown light bulb and reprogram the garage remote. This returned the property to the same condition as the beginning of the tenancy, fair wear and tear excepted. Neither the ex tenant nor ourselves were charged for this, all done at peak vacate and super stressful time for property managers, thus proving Colin is prepared to go the extra mile. This is just one of a number of incidents where Colin has exceeded all expectations to ensure the best situation for tenant and owner. Cynda is a wealth of knowledge, is obliging and helpful always with tenants interests as well as owners in mind. We have been so pleased with the service these people give, we sold property in other locations to purchase in the area, to have it managed by them.
