Avoid this place! We hired a car for 24h. They told us to return the car before 6pm next day. When we did that they charged one extra day! So dishonest. Dissapointed is an uderstatement

Shone at reception was very rude and aggressive. Wouldn't  give me a receipt or a break down of the car rental.

Very unsatisfied customer service. Specifically on past rental cars. I got a rental car from this location and unfortunately, I had an accident with another car. That was thid parties fault but they still charged me access for that.  And told me once they receive an confirmation for fixing their car they will refund my full access amount but it's been almost 3 months and they haven't returned my money yet. When I contact them, they always says contact to customer support and the budget customer support is very ridiculous every time I am getting same answer that "they haven't got any update from claim department yet". And what to say about claim department I have no idea. They have third party details and he accepted his fault but still they are not making a decision. I think they making very precious and gold lined decision. Zero  service.

We had an online booking. We got there at the budget car rental to pick up the car.  All we wanted was for my partner to pay with her credit card and she had an extra id passport, Medicare card  & I was the driver so I was waiting to use my driver's license and I had an extra ID like a passport medicare card. My partner has no driver's licence and I don't have a MasterCard.  We have done it before at the thrifty car rental in surface paradise. I used my driver's license and my partner paid on her MasterCard with her passport id.  So I don't know where the problem is.  This lady made it out like it was the biggest problem. She's saying the driver must pay with a MasterCard name matching with the driver's license name. So if u and ur partner try to rent something and ur partner wants to pay for it she cant.  I have been in the sales industry for 24 years and this is the lady that gives salespeople a bad name. Communication & customer service is the number 1 job requirement needed in a customer service role.

Applied for a van but got a 4.5 tonne truck. No worries but the refuel trick is worthy of note. The tank is oblong and the spout is not at the top. Return it full or well charge you 2$ a litre. Spent 20$ on fuel to and from Brisbane, and were charged $20 for supposedly ten litres of fuel to top it up apparently. We couldn't have got more than two more in there without it spilling all over the floor. Nope, not going there again

Does what is promises, easy to deal with, friendly staff, good rates.  Location not easy to get to on public transport though.

I have hired many cars , buses and vans from many places but since 2017 I've not gone anywhere but budget at Ashmore. There is a gentleman named Steve who works there and he is a massive asset to that company. Really great prices on rentals fair service and upfront honest staff. Cannot recommend this company at this location enough. Do yourself a favour and when you ring up ask to speak to Steve because he is an absolute delight to deal with and has always made my experience second to none. He is the reason I will always use that company.

Thieves!!!! Charged me $1100 without permission,took 3 weeks and multiple phone calls to have the money refunded.left me to pay $60 in overdraft fees. Very unprofessional experience il never return go to hell

I turned up on the morning of my pre-booked car rental day and I couldn't hire the car, the manager of the branch exclaimed "In this country it's illegal to use someone else's credit card". Please be mindful of the wording of the mistruths you tell, it almost sounds a bit xenophobic.

Friendly, professional service. Very happy with them and would use again.
