Visited on Anzac Day, was a lot of cars but great experience - reminded me of when I visited as a kid. Sausage sizzle was a banger!
This was a great time out but please ensure you bring earplugs or earmuffs, lots of parents with screaming kids and it echos well. I enjoyed it but if they had a night tour without kids I’d pay triple
Went today, great way to spend time on ANZAC day. Interesting place for myself, husband and 16 year old son. Well set up. Good that one of these extensive emplacements has been rescued. Amazing amount of work has obviously gone into restoring it. And making it in the first place, come to that - and to think current governments can't manage another road tunnel through Mount Victoria!
Long windy drive. Great place to walk and check out Windy Wellington with a view. All tunnels are closed off, so it’s more or less a walk to the different gun points. Easy for prams and wheelchair access too.
