Firstly, this isn’t a review on the store or people in it. They are amazing as I shopped here for 3 years now.nnMy issue is with the online delivery service only.nMy wife and I have been using the online delivery from here on and off for 2 years.nnJust recently we put in our standard grocery shop as we were on our way that morning to the hospital because my wife was showing signs of going into labour. We had organised her elderly mother to come and babysit our four-year-old daughter and to get the shopping delivered to our door which has happened every other time without incident.nnBut on this occasion the driver saw fit to text my partner‘s number when she was having contractions in labour saying that our food would not be delivered because he deemed it unsafe to walk them up our stairs because of poor lighting at 5.03pm in the afternoon.nnI replied back to his text stating the situation of being at the hospital and saying that her mother could not collect the shopping off him from the bottom of the stairs as she would not be able to do it being a retired nurse pushing 70nnThe very next day with a brand-new baby we had to go into the store to collect our shoppingnWith no communication back from the delivery team after two phone calls to them with the reassurance i would be getting a phone call back to resolve the issue.nnMicah In the shop is amazing, he found our shopping for us and apologised even though it’s not his Department and was told to let us know we would be receiving a phone call in a couple of days.nnIt has gone by almost a week and no phone call, no apologies and no accountability for the driver who clearly just didn’t want to do his job.nIt has never been a Health and Safety issue before so I’m just assuming pure utter laziness has come into play and our placed has now been flagged as somewhere they won’t deliver to I assume ?nnI’m laying a formal complaint now and escalating the matter.nBecause I will not let this go.nThey absolutely overshadowed what was supposed to be a joyous time for my family and they can’t even spare the decency to call and apologies.
Great service so far from my new local. Great range and good prices. I'm used to shopping at a place with lower prices and as always would be great to see them come down or offer more budget brand options but I'm very happy.
This review is directed specifically at the in-store pharmacist who refused me paracetamol for my sick mother and spoke to me like I was a criminal tonight. Kindly take the stick out of you-know-where. To any Wainuiomata residents reading this, please support your local pharmacists. Thank you.
Highly disappointed in the staff at our new Woolworths Wainuiomata. Surly and non-communicable. We pay higher prices than Pak n Save, then have to pack the bags ourselves and if we’re not quick enough they start shoving the next person’s groceries into our lot!
Orange brought 2 days ago. On the last 3 occasions I have come home after shopping there to find mouldy produce. Today i saw a worker in the produce section chucking the food on the shelves. No respect or care for the produce. Mostly a good store but the produce department needs to raise it's standards.
