I am throughly not impressed with this New World. I have been shopping here for years, but I will never be coming back after the last few weeks. One of the employees Julia was SO rude, seemingly judging costumers and I overheard her saying the rudest things about other employees. I was willing to come back, as I have always loved this super market using it for my shops when needed. However, this behaviour just continued! I refuse to go to support a store which employs people like this, it goes against all my christian values. She is the reason i will never come back.
I have shopped at this store for years. This evening 1/12/2024, I purchased an ant extermination product, which I paid for and have the receipt for the purchase,nwhen I was accosted by two women, one older and a younger one, in the local Pizza Hut store picking up my dinner, when they demanded that I empty my pockets, as they had suspected me of stealing. I did empty my pockets and showed them the contents, none of which contained any stolen items. Their manner was arrogant and rude and completely unacceptable. My advice to anyone shopping at this store,that it might be best to go in naked , that way you are unlikely to be falsely accused of something you have not done.
I would like to mention Jason from the Butdhery dept at Hutt city Newworld .I rang up Sat morning and ordered a large amount of lamb chops .He was very nice and polite and said he will freshly Cut them for me and have all ready by 3pm very pleased with him and the chops were beautifully presented on a tray. Thank you Jason ,will be marinating tham and freezing them for a family dinner
Long time customer at New World Lowerhutt, most often for odds and ends. After tonights experience i wont be back. Im not sure if she's a superviser or duty shift manager but i had my bags searched by her because i could not provide proof of purchase from Pak N Save. This is one of the few times ive ever wandered into any supermarket without proof of purchase in many years i purposely ask for my docket these days because if i need to take something back i need that proof. I lost my docket due to a clerical error at checkout going through Pak N Save to which i might add i may of saved a young employee some strife by settling the financial fluff up. They kept the docket. Anyway, i was very tired tonight and really just wanted to go home. The senior employee kept repeating to me you must always bring your docket in That's what i get for attempting to engage in a little humor or what i thought it was?nnIve enjoyed my experiences in New World Lowerhutt up till tonight, you've lost a regular customer. I should add i was in the supermarket all of about 5 minutes. I went there for only a few items.
Excellent, they stock gluten-free bread called 'Live Love loaf.' Brillant for sandwiches.
