Woolworths Howick

I am so tired of the fact that you pay soooo much for fruit and vegetables these days then you get home and it's rotten. I bought a pineapple and I have to bin it, cause driving back and stating my case would be useless, what a disappointment.

Have been shopping at Howick Countdown since they opened and spent an average of $350pw. Went in yesterday afternoon Pension Day with the Gold Card 5% discount and there was only one check out operator on, so I went through the self check out. Swiped my One Card and the Gold Card, but wheen I arrived home the Gold Card had not gone through. Went back this morning and the supervisor said that I had to come back on the same day to qualify for the 5% discount. I said it was late afternoon and it was not worth a special trip. She phoned her Manager and she said no also.nTheir loss, as I spend around $20k p.a. there.nNew World now has a new Customer.nBriannnback on the same day for them to refund the 5%. It's a great store but even a better experience when you remember to bring your card to pay for the shopping too hehehe

closing time is 10pm however I got there st 9.45pm and I wasn't allowed through the front door to purchase a bottle of milk , I was rudely told to go somewhere else to purchase my milk .nI found staff to be in helpful, very unfriendly and no empathy to my needs

Great selection...plenty space ...very affordable...
