It was such a fun place to visit! The animals are beautiful and while taking care of. The staff seems very knowledgeable and caring for their fur babies.Great Zoo & Great Experience! The habitats were of good sizes for the animals, they looked healthy and the place was clean. Excellent place for kids and family. Very friendly staff, very well maintained animals. You get real close interaction with the animals, much better than at regular zoos. Really cool place. Such a nice and relaxing setting to walk around with the kids and enjoy the animals so up close and hands on! We had a wonderful time!
Always an enjoyable place to take kids and guests. The kiwi enclosure is great and we have always managed to spot at least one of the birds. The kids love the opportunity to feed the animals and birds. There is a good variety of farm animals that aren't the common breeds you see in New Zealand. Well worth a visit.
We visited this zoo from the many Christchurch had to offer and were not disappointed! The Zoo had many historical displays and rustic huts. Loved the variety of animals they kept and most importantly the kids had a great time!
I cannot begin to express how amazing this experience was for us! The critters, the birds, the eels and the so good staff. Honestly my favourite experience of New Zealand so far. I laughed and cried, I fed so many lovely and unusual animals, my hubby and I ate amazing pie and the coffee was good you can trust me on this one, I am a serious coffee snob!. Please support this amazing place, their work is so needed.
Little kids would love it, I went on my own as I hadn't been here yet. My favorite part was watching the Otters play and talk and the Kiwi house and also saw baby lambs just born. Note, not to wear white shoes in winter here if you want them to stay white, as it can be quite muddy on the track in places.nWould be back if I had younger kids to tale, alas mine is a teen and not interested.
