I'm very pleased I went to see the doctor here out of hours last Saturday. I had to wait but that's what I expected given it was the weekend. When it came for my turn to see the doctor I wasn't rushed and they were very thorough. It meant I was able to get medication sooner rather than being in further discomfort until Monday. The receptionist even shared with me a way to get my results online, which was very helpful. The doctor has since followed up with me and taken the time to explain my results. I would like to thank all the staff at White Cross.
It’s not the first time I’m having a very bad experience in this clinic. Due to COVID we are forced to call before entering the clinic, which is ok, and when is safe they will tell you to enter. I called, they didn’t ask my name, after half of an hour seeing people entering and leaving without calling I complain. I was asked to wait outside again still no name, after one hour and another complain, they let me sit inside...
I've been here twice in semi-emergency situations, both times were horrific. You pay a premium to not be listened to and then sent away without help. The doctors were disinterested, disengaged and gave poor advice. I ended up in hospital an hour later after one visit after being sent off with a script for some panadol. I had my gallbladder removed that night. The nurse by comparison, was kind, but talked to me more about her life than asked me what was going on. Find another clinic, don't go here if you are unwell. You will leave feeling worse.
I had a terrible experience with this medical centre, and the place should be avoided like a bad dose of COVID. I went in on a Sunday to have a regular medication administered that is prescribed by my specialist and GP, so that I could head down to my mother's funeral. Both the nurse and doctor on duty refused to treat me because it was too bureaucratically inconvenient for them, and so I walked out of the place in worse condition than I walked in, after 45 minutes of being given the run-around. I later raised a complaint with their management which was not dealt with appropriately at all, with the nurse and doctor doubling down on their high-handed rudeness and complete lack of compassion for patients. If you want a textbook display of medical arrogance coupled with no effective treatment, then White Cross Ponsonby is the ideal choice. If you want to be treated like a human being and receive appropriate medical treatment, then any place on the planet will be better than these toxic idiots.
Don't go there unless you are dying, and if you are dying, go to emergency. Avoid Dr Antonio Medina in every possible case, he is a joke. The treatment offered to me was repeat of the medicine that I had already tried. In fact, I mentioned this to doctor but he said he had nothing else to offer. I had to follow up five days in a row to get my test results, and never got a chance to discuss the result with a Doctor. Poor service for ridiculous price.
Expensive no matter how many times you go - $72 for a consultation. Also, I waited here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon with only three others in the waiting room. Seems like there was only one doctor on call. It took 3 hours before I was seen by a doctor...would hate to think what the waiting time is like on a busy day! I couldn't even see a water dispenser for a drink. Very poor service for a premium price doctors. Must be better around.
TERRIBLE PLACE. Do not visit this GP practice. Doctor was extremely rude and waiting times were insane. Did not cater to patients need and the doctor even proceeded to scold a patient for coming into the clinic when that patient was obviously very ill. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. This doctor should not be allowed to practice in NZ. Reception staff were also ridiculously rude and focused on only getting your money. Would rate 0/5 if I could. Do NOT visit this place unless you want to be treated inhumanely and get scammed for your money for the terribly poor service that they offer.
Honestly, do not go to this A&E. Go to Smales farm. I went here because I couldn't get an appointment with my GP and it was urgent. The doctor was uncaring and didn't accept that I was in a great deal of physical pain from a severe skin infection on my scalp. He refused to give me pain medication stronger that iIbuprofen, asked if I had HIV and put me on a repeat of the antibiotic I was already on. Nothing else, no blood tests, no skin tests. Nothing. Three days later I was treated for severe cellulitus that if left could have been life threatening. I was in agony for days because he wouldn't help me.
We visited clinic on Sunday and the first thing we saw was receptionist lady chewing gum, doctor Antonio was great however the receptionist was rude and very unhelpful. The clinic charged us $100 for the visit weekend price but do you pay double when you eat in a restaurant weekdays compared to weekend?
It was misdiagnosis. It wasn't able to book, only walk in the clinic. It was very crowded. I had to wait for long time over 2 hours even though I've got a cold. really terrible. After shady medical examination, the docter prescribed a medicine that have a no connection with my disease. some staffs were rude. never go again. I went to see other clinic, I got well.
