"Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland is a spectacular showcase of New Zealand’s most colorful and unique geothermal elements sculpted by thousands of years of volcanic activity.Come and see the history and beauty of the Lady Knox Geyser at 10:15am every day. Presented by our fantastic staff in a natural amphitheater. Lady Knox Geyser provides a unique opportunity to see an eruption to heights of 10 to 20 meters.Visit the Mud Pool to complete your experience at Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland. The largest mud pool in New Zealand, it was originally the site of a large mud volcano which was destroyed through erosion in the 1920’s.Waiotapu is a cashless site. Last admission to the park is at 3pm."

For those who have never experienced thermal springs, it is a very cool experience and in my opinion better than Yellowstone. In addition they also have a nice gift shop on site . Overall worth the visit.
The geyser tour is a typical tourist spot and I couldn't recommend. But the thermal area is very nice.
Had the most amazing experience here! Spent my 23rd with family wandering the park for the day and the staff went above and beyond to make my day special. I will go here again and would suggest everyone else goes here to explore!! Most incredible day. Thanks Waiotapu staff!
Amazing experience with helpful and friendly staff. The walking tracks and information boards are safe and well constructed and the thermal ponds, craters and formations outstanding. Take the extra time to view the lake at the end of the track. Thoroughly recommend.
The place is wonderful. It is incredible way to learn about geography, chemistry and history.
This would be on my top 10 natural attractions list world wide. Every time I thought I couldn't see something else amazing I turned a corner and was blown away. So well set out and great value for money if you're a nature lover. Can't wait to go again.
You can see all the beautiful thermal pools while enjoying the nice walk. Pathways are in good condition and safe.
