I love Whakarewarewa.... I never believed it ahould cost the tangata whenua but it needs to be maintenanced so hei aha!!! At least I got a free view for 20mins self walk arnd
Interesting and very well done. Maori arts and crafts as well as thermal area. The kiwi house was great with 3 kiwi in easy sight in the kiwi house
The geothermal trail is a cruisy 50 minute walk with minimal inclines. We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon which made it nice and spooky.
We had a wonderful village tour with Daniel. He was an excellent guide and made the experience even more enjoyable. We learnt lots from his commentary and knowledge. Highly recommend doing this experience.
Nice place to see! There's a strong sulphur smell. So be mindful when driving around here. Great place to visit.
