Nice place to visit for a relaxing 2 hour spa experience. We went early in the day and had the entire place to ourselves for the most part. All of the facilities are very clean and everything is well explained on arrival how to move thru the restorative process.nWe were provided a robe, towel, and a locker to store our things. The locker room is nice and clean and there are individual showers to clean up in after you finish the experience. Since much is involved at the end it’s nice to have private rooms with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner at the end. They even had a device to wring out bathing suits to take home. Great day!
Truly sensational experience! Enjoyed the Restorative Journey, 7 stages of hot & cold. Loved the cultural aspect, all explained by very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Easy to find location, all still looks very new, though has been open since 2023. For 16+ only. Topped off by lunch at their café. Will definitely return!
What an amazing place! How well designed and managedWish we had the time during our trip to visit again. We took the full journey it was so relaxing and beautiful it worn away our 14 hrs flight and 6 hours of drive that day. It was truly rejuvenating.nThey have this hot and cold pools with a view of the lake and as an icing on the cake the mud bath on warm lounge chairsnThey manage it so well that it felt like it was a private reservation meaning just 2-3 people in a pool at a time
We had such a fabulous time here, definitely book the full journey! There is no other way to do it.nnWe saw people going in the per hour rooms and they were these quite small rooms that don’t get to use the full breadth of the luxurious facilities and didn’t have stellar views.nnThe full experience was worth every penny and very special. This place is Māori owned and run and you start and end your spa day with a traditional prayer.nnEverything had beautiful luxurious detail and felt expensive and new. The waters were incredible because they have this perfect view of Lake Rotorua. It feels like you are swimming in the lake. You also get the local mud in the form of a bowl with mud that you smear on your body and one of the coolest steam saunas I’ve ever seen. The facilities are lovely with lots of amenities. There is food and drink at grand foyer entrance for before or after your journey.
Next-Level Relaxation!nnWai Ariki Hot Spa is pure bliss! The geothermal pools are heavenly, the views are unreal and the staff are super friendly and passionate about this wellness space. Every detail—from the Māori-inspired design to the world-class spa facilities —makes this a must-do in Rotorua. Left feeling like a zen goddess. My skin is so soft. Absolutely worth it!
