Bought a ticket to deluxe lake spa about 50 dollars. The location was great and the view was amazing. Toilets and showers were great too. We tried different pools and there were various temperature. Love the cold pool as well, very refreshing! We were told by the ticket lady that there would be no kids. We went in to a big group 5-6 kids jumping into the hot springs and making loud noises. Apart from that, we had great experience! And would love to come back to try the private pools options.
This was a great experience. We booked a 2 hour treatment. Soak and massage. Facilities were nice and clean. My masseur was great kind and communicated well. She made sure I was comfortable at all times. Views are breath taking. On my to do list in winter.
Tried out the 60-min Swedish massage & the 30-min private pool. It was my first time getting a massage, and I enjoyed it very much. ‍ It was such a nice experience to appreciate the sunset while sitting in the private pool. All staff was nice and kind. You get a free drink from the cafe after.
Went around 5pm on a cold rainy and the spa is the perfect place. The water is about 40deg, perfect temperature for soaking. Splurge a little to get the lake view private room and it's totally worth it! The view of the lake is stunning, we were lucky to see the rainbow and watch the sunset, the whole thing is incredibly relaxing and totally warms up the body.
Incredible experience. We did the lake spa experience, massage, private pool and lunch. The pools were in a lovely setting, helped even more so when we were lucky enough to basically have the place to ourselves in the morning! The massage was amazing. Highly recommend!
The parking lot is small. Maybe 40 cars? Had to find parking on the street with a limit of 3 hours. The lockers were small. I could barely fit all my stuff in there. Reception seemed a bit disorganized. If you have a body treatment you go through a separate door, but there is no sign indicating that so I waited in the regular line for 20 minutes. Then, with a body treatment you can use the pools as long as you want and the relaxation area, except if you are parked on the street and have to run out and get your car. There are 89 women's lockers. More lockers than parking spots. The body treatment was nice, hydrotherapy. My therapist, Angus, was great. The pools are nice, but the signs for the temperature are small and sort of hard to see as some are sort of hidden. There are no signs about the minerality of the pools. It was a nice experience, but definitely not the best spa experience I have ever had.
Utilized the Deluxe Spa for access to both acidic and alkaline pools, as well as ice plunge and heated recliners, for 50 dollars. Well worth it - one of the pools was hot enough it was difficult to stay for more than a couple of minutes usually not a problem! and the ice plunge was very nice. Children are allowed in the deluxe pools, and while reasonably well behaved they are still children, so may be better to use a private pool or the pavilion pools. The heated recliners may have been my favorite part, as reading a book on those was very pleasant despite the rainy cold weather.
Spent a couple of hours here relaxing jn the hot pools while visiting Rotorua. The pools have different temperatures from very hot, 41 degrees to a more comfortable 38 or 35. I left feeling very relaxed after popping in and out of the various pools. Very reasonable price and a good outing for a family
Recommended! This place was recommended by Google as one of the popular tourist place. There are private pools as well as public pools. We paid $33.90 for entrance to public pools. There are altogether 8 if I am not wrong public pools you can use, and one foot reflexology walk pool. The pools are of different temperature to me, not much different, and it is nice to soak under a 40 degree C pool during a cold weather day. I would expect the temperature of the pool to be adjusted slightly higher, and the cold ambient temperature cools down water pretty fast. If you forgotten to bring you towel, you could rent a towel at $8.90 per piece. There are also water drinking stations inside the public pools for you to get hydrated at all times.
It is a bit expensive if you want to use their facilities but it is worth it. It was nice and relaxing. The view of the lake was beautiful. If you pay to use their facilities, they have locker for tour stuff, shower with shampoo and conditioner, hair dryers, and changing rooms. They provide towels.
