I thoroughly enjoyed the lakefront pools. Each one was a different temperature and composition. I soaked in all of them. I had a wonderful 45 minute massage that was so relaxing. I highly recommend this spa when in Rotorua.
My mother-in-law and I visited Polynesian Spa on our trip from the U.S. It was a lovely and relaxing spa day experience—we didn’t even care that it was chilly outside because the spa and staff were so warm and welcoming! I think my favorite part was buying beautiful Moana Rd bags from the gift shop. The only thing I’d recommend would be to offer more varieties of massages I personally prefer deep tissue massage but they did not offer it. However, if we ever visit Rotorua, we are definitely returning!
I wasn't sure which spa to visit and am so glad I chose this one. It is set on a historic spa site, and the pools overlook the lake. I love that it has a separate adults only section so you can enjoy the pools in peace. They do have lockers if you're worried about your belongings but most people just kept them in the plastic bins in the common area, as I did without issue. There are water refill stations so bring your own water bottles and stay hydrated. The staff was fantastic, the place was very clean and relaxing, especially at night overlooking the lake. I went during the winter, during an off and on rain, and definitely recommend it.
The two pools combo is good, you can enjoy different vibes from both sides.and I also like the fresh juice included in the combonSo if you hesitate which one you should go, I would recommend the Pavilion it has more scenic views, but cons is too many people. Deluxe is more hidden the lookout not better than Pavilion, but it has one cold pool to cool down.nAnd even they promote so many pools inside, but mainly just two types of water: alkaline and acid, and temperature between 38-41.nI love the big pool in Pavilion, kind of old school.
Here’s your feedback adapted for a Google review:nn---nnnnWe had a lovely overall experience, but the booking process could use some improvement. I booked a 3 p.m. massage, expecting to arrive around that time. We showed up 30 minutes early, only to find out that we were supposed to arrive an hour in advance for the private spa pool. This wasn’t clearly communicated during the booking process.nnWhile I did receive a call about the timing, I missed it, and when I called the day before to check on what to bring robes, slippers, etc., the staff confirmed my appointment but didn’t mention arriving earlier.nnIf allowing time for the spa beforehand is important, it would be great to make that more prominent on the booking page—perhaps in bold or caps—and include it in a reminder text the day before. This would help guests plan better and avoid confusion.nnThat being said, the rest of the experience was fantastic.
