To promote and support volunteering to individuals, organisations and the community:
(a) Maintaining a high quality of volunteer services through the provision of training, support and consultative services.
(b) Recruiting, educating and advocating for volunteering.
(c) Increasing the awareness of the benefits and value of volunteerism.
(d) Working with other groups including the cultural diversity in the Manawatu and neighbouring districts to further the purpose and not for profit nature of volunteering.
(e) Any other activity that promotes and encourages volunteerism mainly in the Manawatu and neighbouring districts area but else where as required
