It was such a relief to find Ubertec after being quoted astronomical amounts to have my iPhone screen replaced nearby. They were kind, professional, and thorough. It was all taken care of within several hours. Highly recommend them over many others in the area that charge HUNDREDS more. I will definitely be coming back here for any other Apple issues I encounter. They had a great selection of Apple accessories as well!
Replaced battery which is fine. All good. However, apparently had to take my screen protector off just your classic one. Never told me beforehand and wanted to charge me an extra $20 at pick up for a new screen protector and it’s a pretty common job so I’d assume they knew they’d do this beforehand. I have had my battery replaced by apple before and they never needed to. Check for sneaky little costs : After their response. I think the best response is the “ We have reminded all team members to advise customers they will lose their screen protectors on all out of warranty battery and screen repairs.” which is all this needed. I never asked for a speedy replacement. The screen protector had the smallest crack ever, but I do think you should consider professionalism before replying to these reviews, regardless of small or large business I would have felt the same. I think this close to Christmas $20 is a lot of money not to advise your customers about.
Felt compelled to write a review after the amazing service we have received on multiple occasions from Ubertec. Eva, Kai and Dan were all super friendly and professional with great communication, and got our apple devices sorted quickly and efficiently. They will continue to be our go-to for any Apple repairs and support going forward. Thanks again - you're all awesome!
This place was a dream after going to another Apple Authorised Service Provider who was not up to the job. They were professional, communicated clearly and in a friendly manner, and returned my Airpods a lot faster than expected. The staff clearly knew what they were doing and I'm very pleased with their work and the level of professionalism.
Incredible service and communication. I had some problems with my MacBook Air and they were so helpful and gave me heaps of advice, allowing me to fix it for the cheapest price possible. Every single staff member were knowledgeable and kind. They don’t try to scam you, they genuinely want to help you fix your problem. Special shout-out to T who provided me with amazing service and humour! and even fought an Apple representative for me to help me get my problem fixed under warranty! He was very pleasant to deal with and left a great impression on me : Don’t listen to the 1-star reviews- they clearly blame Ubertec for their own problems e.g products being out of warranty etc. I would recommend this place to anyone and this is the only place I would go back to to have anything fixed. Thank you Ubertec!
A relative's iMac was not booting up. Dropped it into to Ubertec who diagnosed it as a dead hard drive. Machine was out of warranty but Ubertec made a Consumer Guarantees claim with Apple due to the machine's relatively low-age. An exemption was granted and Ubertec completed the work quickly and effectively - with absolutely no stress or fuss for me. Highly recommended.
My first-ever 1-star review. I sent my under-warranty iPad for battery repair, and the receptionist told me I would send it to apple and replace it in 3 working days. Next week I got an email from a Ubertec technician called Kevin, who told me the iPad was fixed and could be charged, and it was a software issue; look for the software updates and force started whenever I couldn't set it. I told him that Ipad could be charged only when the battery was flat. Could you send it to apple for a check? He replied me Apple advised me not to send it, and we usually charge 50 dollars for diagnosis...Come on; you told Apple you found and could fix the problem, so Apple told you not to send my Ipad, but the truth is you left my iPad at your shop for a couple of days and found it could be charged as the battery totally gone and then said you fix it and come to pick up. I also googled the iPad mini6 charging issue that the technician mentioned. There was a charging problem in July, but Apple already updated the software two months ago, and you still told me to wait for the update in September. After I picked up my iPad from Ubertec, I tried the way Kevin gave, force starts that iPad to charge it, never work!!! What a waste of time! In the end, I ordered a repair box from Apple and sent it; Apple sent back a replacement. What a smooth experience!
Less than one star would have been more fitting as dealing with someone who made 2 short planks look like a computer was frustrating to say the least how this place is an apple authorised centre is beyond believe. Unless you want to feel you know more about apple products than the muppet behind the counter don’t go here ever.
I just got my Macbook Air back and OMG I can't recommend Ubertec enough to everyone!!! My Macbook suddenly unable to power on. I took it to Ubertec on 10 Aug, Louis was super friendly and professional. I though my Macbook only have 1 year warranty, however Louis advised if bought in NZ, there would be extra 2 years warranty as per consumer law. In the same afternoon, Graeme the technician emailed and advised it was due to the logic board failed and needed to replaced one by Apple and it will be shipped from AUS. I thought it would take a few days. Today, 12 Aug, I got a txt message said my Macboook was repaired!!! I was shocked! It only took 2 days!! Ubertec originally charged $90 for assessing the issue, but at the end they refunded the amount to me due to my Macbook was still under warranty. Thank you so much Ubertec!!!
Brilliant service and support at every step. The team are friendly, patient and determined, and I really appreciated the text updates on diagnostics and progress. Thoroughly recommended.
