Two Fat Chefs

Highly recommended if your hungry if your hungry & like decent size portion food this is the place for you.. fat burger pretty good. Egg salmon was spot on as I didnt like too much hollandaise sauce I added hash browns with mine loved it but may be a bit more crunchy for me. Part from that I will be will.

Hearty breakfast and lunch fare in a convivial setting!nnGenerous portions and a deft touch using the skillet are evident here, as my big breakfast was cooked to perfection, and I especially loved the char on the grilled tomato !nnCoffee is good to as is the atmosphere, and it’s refreshing to be on an environment where all the regulars are referred to by their names.nnStaff are fondly and happily go about their business too, and you know that a cafe is on top of they game when the staff are not stressed, and obviously enjoying themselves.nnThere’s a good selection of freshly baked cakes in the cabinet too, but I was too full after my breakfast and a large flat white to enjoy one.nnOh well… all the more reason to come back again!

Visited Two Fat Chefs on Tuesday for lunch with a girlfriend. The cabinet food all looked delicious & the menu food were large portions so we shared the fish tacos & fries. The fish had a lovely seasoning with fresh fillings and the fries were perfectly salted yum.

Two Fat Chefs is a breakfast institution in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast. Open everyday 8am-2.30pm...everyday how do the staff look so young?!nIt occupies an ideal location next door to the Kapiti Island Nature Tours office, so it's your last chance for a perfect flat white or a hearty first class breakfast before sailing out across the shark infested waters to be savaged by wild fluffy Kiwi's!nThe staff are not just there to look good but are helpful, efficient and professional they also to punch holes in the very favourable loyalty card. Just buy four coffee's and get one FREE! Now that's a bargain.nI really enjoyed the Black Pudding and Sour Apple, a unique and creative combination to the hearty seafaring breakfast menu.nnTrying to photograph the exterior of the cafe for this review was tricky as the facade is lacking a little curb appeal as an interior designer I would recommend a refresh in the 'chic' yellow of the 'Flight Coffee' street stand along with a matching drop down awning to protect the breakfast munching explorers from the weather and low flying seagulls....just to create a landmark presence.nnLooking forward to trying the huge vanilla slice on our next visit.nThank you team for my daily coffee and Happy 2026!

A+++ food was amazing, good size, tasty and staff were friendly and super helpful. Everything came out fairly quick even after we were told there was a wait. Great experience and we will definitely be back.
