A+++ food was amazing, good size, tasty and staff were friendly and super helpful. Everything came out fairly quick even after we were told there was a wait. Great experience and we will definitely be back.

We had such a lovely experience at this restaurant. The chicken open sandwich was absolutely delicious — the chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced. Every bite had the right balance of flavour and texture.nnThe waffles were just as amazing — thick, soft, and melted in my mouth.nnEverything was so well made and beautifully presented. A place I’d definitely love to visit again!

Two Fat Chefs is a breakfast institution in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast. Open everyday 8am-2.30pm...everyday how do the staff look so young?!nIt occupies an ideal location next door to the Kapiti Island Nature Tours office, so it's your last chance for a perfect flat white or a hearty first class breakfast before sailing out across the shark infested waters to be savaged by wild fluffy Kiwi's!nThe staff are not just there to look good but are helpful, efficient and professional they also to punch holes in the very favourable loyalty card. Just buy four coffee's and get one FREE! Now that's a bargain.nI really enjoyed the Black Pudding and Sour Apple, a unique and creative combination to the hearty seafaring breakfast menu.nnTrying to photograph the exterior of the cafe for this review was tricky as the facade is lacking a little curb appeal as an interior designer I would recommend a refresh in the 'chic' yellow of the 'Flight Coffee' street stand along with a matching drop down awning to protect the breakfast munching explorers from the weather and low flying seagulls....just to create a landmark presence.nnLooking forward to trying the huge vanilla slice on our next visit.nThank you team for my daily coffee and Happy 2026!

Been meaning to come here for a while and I wasnt disappointednnStaff were very friendly and spot on. Service was quick. Went on a Thursday afternoon and it was busy but managed to get a seat in the covered outside area and thru have heat lamps so really warm.nnTook the pictures once we had started eating.nnOrder:nnCoffee - 5/5 - was spot onnnBeef cheek 4/5 - the beef was really tasty! Decent portion of beef as well. My only complaint but didn't pull down the score for it was the Jus was just too watery. Because of this, the hashbrowns were really damp and soggy, just didn't work. My recommendation is to swap out the hashbrowns for something like mash or maybe make it a toasted sandwiches with a side dip or thicken up the Jus slightly appreciate its not supposed to be like gravy or make it a gravy. Would I eat it again? Yes, yes I would!nnSteak sandwich - 3.5/5 - generally a nice sandwich. The steak was slightly fatty but overall everything worked well.nnWould come back and try more of the menu. The cold cabinet look nice.

Passing through Paraparaumu to stop by @tokeraujimpacificart and found this cafe by chance as we drove by. Can’t fault them, went out of their way to cater to our group of five even though they were quite busy. Great and fast service. And the coffee and meals, I’ll just say that I rate cafes by their eggs bene, and they served up the best I’ve ever had in NZ in the 30yrs I’ve lived here. Well done Two Fat Chefs, keep up the good work!
