Tides Hotel Bar & Eatery

The location was highly convenient, offering close proximity to various bars and restaurants. Our morning breakfast was exceptional, and the staff were friendly.nnHowever, we encountered two cockroaches in our room during the evening. Upon contacting the night staff, we were provided with insect repellent to address the second cockroache ourselves.

Great location for an easy walk to town. The food here is amazing and in the average price range. Beware no lift so send level is a carry your bags to tour room. Nice balcony overlooking the river which is tidal.

We booked our room as a little splurge after a few days on the track in the Abel-Tasman. Despite a price tag of close to $500 a night the bathroom state left much to be desired see photos and the pool was just marginally warmer than the Tasman Bay we just enjoyed. Unfortunately the funky and eclectic decor could not distract us enough to prevent some disappointment with the service at breakfast, where, as one of only a handful of tables, after 15 minutes of waiting we were finally offered a takeaway cup for our coffee order.nnNot the value we were hoping for.

Such a live and vibrant place to stay, the most amazing friendly and helpful stay, once you walk thru the door you are blown away with the amazing colour's so inviting.nI'm here on tour and my group love it here, I will come back by myself it has been so enjoyable.nOne thing some of the amazing color should be on the outside because from the outside it looks like every other hotel and you are notified

We made a spontaneous booking here after staying here about 4 years ago. Our stay there then was good but we were impressed with the refresh that it has had of the decor, branding and rooms. Room was perfect with what we needed, clean, and a lovely view of the river. As well as at a very reasonable price! Perfect walking distance to Nelson City which was what we needed.
