Tides Hotel Bar & Eatery

The perfect place to stay when you are in Nelson. A short walk to the heart of the city, lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms are comfortable, heated bathroom floors. Room service is available. Their dining room serves Breakfast, lunch and dinner. All good. Great staff and they are helpful. Thank you.

Great facilities within the room, nice bathroom with lovely amenities. Great spa bath too. Decent sized rooms and our room had the pool view which also has access externally for easy access to your car.nnService at the restaurant a little chaotic. Wait staff would benefit from serving a particular set of tables than having each of them asking you if you would like to order anything else. Must add the staff were very friendly!

I can't thank the owner of this place enough. We turned up and our travel agent hadn't confirmed our booking and the place was full. Up steps the owner, sorts us out a room at another hotel and then took us and our luggage in his Maserati to our new hotel.nI only wish we could have stayed as the place looked fantastic and we had chosen a river view room.nWe went back and had a great meal in the eatery.nThanks once again.

Recently stayed at The Tides Hotel and was really impressed. I've spent 10 years working in boutique hotels on Australia and for a small town like Nelson the Tides is punching above it's weight. The room was lovely and vibrant, with a balcony and small chairs/table. There was ample space to hang clothes and store my suitcase. The room itself was spacious and the decor was really nice, with a beautiful feature wall. The TV was well positioned and there was a small desk for me to do some work. The bathroom was very impressive, a full spa bath and some nice amenities. The spa crystals were a nice touch too.nnThe restaurant downstairs offered a great range of beer and wine and the food was really enjoyable too. The breakfast offering was really nice and the ladies who work the breakfast shift were super bubbly and friendly. It makes such a difference when you're travelling for work and the staff are enjoying their jobs, especially in the morning when no one wants to be leaving the hotel! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will be sure to recommend it to those that travel to Nelson. It's now my companies preferred location to stay!

Room doesn't seem 4 star but more like a nice motel. Limited parking. The biggest issue for me is the wifi. The wifi keeps dropping out even when the weather was good. When the weather was bad, wifi was non existent.
