Tides Hotel Bar & Eatery

Great little hotel perfectly situated for our one quick overnight, right across from where the InterCity bus dropped us off and picked us up. Fun quirky room details a bonus on top of basics like comfy beds and clean bathroom. Extras in room were fresh milk and cold spring water! Nice touch. Loved the colour scheme and splashes of art! Hallway looked to be in middle of being renovated half painted walls and wires hanging down, so once done that will be an improvement. Overall recommend for a nice place to stay!

Came for lunch and the smoke salmon and pork belly were amazingly good!!! Sorry, I forgot to take photos, but I promise they looked as good as they tasted. Also, the service is 5-star. Thanks to the friendly and cheerful staff!

We recently stayed overnight, and it was the perfect place to truly relax and veg out. The rates were really affordable, and we were able to get a room facing the river. I was worried about restaurant noise so requested a room on the first floor, away from the restaurant. We ended up on the ground floor anyway last-minute booking, but it was quite quiet, and I slept really well. You can kind of hear your neighbours' muffled voices when you're in the toilet, but that's not uncommon. Having a reliable restaurant in-house that serves good food was such a big plus, as we didn't have to go looking for somewhere to eat. Cannot wait to return for summer!

We went to there for lunch only this time and the view was beautiful!nnThe food was above average but not outstanding.nnThe waitress forgotten our drink at the end but it’s completely fine.

I recently dined at the restaurant in Tide Hotel and was disappointed with the handling of dietary restrictions. As a Muslim, I asked if the meat was halal and was told it was not. I ordered a fish dish that contained chorizo and specifically requested it be removed. However, my dish arrived with chorizo still present. When they replaced it, it was clear they simply picked out the chorizo from the same fish, however accidentally left a couple still in there. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. While I commend the waitress for her efforts, the kitchen's lack of attention to dietary needs is concerning and needs significant improvement. Really disappointing experience.
