Big breakfast, home made granola, hot chocolate and mocha were our choices and they did not disappoint! This place has such a cool vibe and delicious food. Opens really early on a weekday which is great. A very popular place on weekends especially but worth the wait.
What a find! This is 'a best kept secret'. Hard to find a great cafe travelling on a Sat from Bay of Plenty via Waihi to Auckland on a Sat mid journey. Perfect choices; all day breakfast, cabinet food and menu with reasonable prices. Water available to serve yourself while waiting for your food. Order at the counter to bright bubbly staff. The atmosphere is comfortable, outside seating under umbrellas and inside options are cosy sitting arrangements. We enjoyed our mince on toast and a very nice coffee. We will be back!

This is the cutest little cafe I've been to. It has character and was quiet, with lots of nooks and crannies to find a private spot. The chairs and tables didn't match, there were multiple levels and it was CLEAN. Food and service were excellent. We stopped here for brunch on a day ride and it was the perfect little spot to have a break. Definitely recommend and will be coming back. Vegetarian options: Heaps to choose from. Dietary restrictions: All menu items were marked with dietary options V, DF, GF etc. My vege stack was dairy free and it was delicious.
Always lovely salads especially vegan/vegetarian. Delicious coffee & a slice of "custard slice to die for"! Enjoyed this with friends ouside while watching the sparrows! Always busy. That tells you heaps!Food: 5/5
Absolutely delicious! I have the Pork Bao Buns and they were so tasty I had one of them before taking a picture. The staff are super friendly, the courtyard is very cute and not overly cramped and there is plenty of shade! Even though the staff were being run off their feet, they still took a moment to find the owners of a dog that was in a car outside in the sun with no windows down, amazing!
Wow....what a lovely cafe. We had lunch, iced coffees and a slice. The place was at 80% capacity and the service was great. Even down to having lots of cold water in the fridge...it was 27C on the day we went. Happy to recommend and will definitely returnFood: 5/5
It was a charming cafe. Great service with homy and soulful atmosphere. They are serving short order meals and a la carté foods. It is close to other shops in town so it is very convenient for a short walk to grab a nice coffee and other refreshments. The dining area is decorated with vibrant and impressionistic paintings from local artists. P.S. I wonder if those grapes in the front fence might be ready for picking when i come and visit again this lovely cafe.
We hadn't originally planned on going to this cafe but lucked out when the one we had picked was closed. The actual building is pretty neat and on a sunny day, it was quite nice and relaxing to sit in the garden. Inside also looked pretty neat. The food was good though I wouldn't recommend this for a cheap meal. A great experience and start to our day!
