I love this place as the beer and food is good along with there being a car park at the back which is convenient. We just wish there was more focus on cleaning the tables of glasses and plates and the floor of debris as more often than not we end up moving them ourselves when we want to sit at a table. Sometimes it looks like a grenade has gone off in there with the amount of glasses and dirty tables that have been left unattended. Hey but I still give it a 5 star review. It would be nice if someone could address this issue then I could give it a 5 star plus.
The atmosphere is great, the service was speedy, and the staff cheery, the place is fairly clean, Some people where been to loud by us but not offensive, We had breakfast the food was OK, better if it had been warmer but it was eatable so that's the main point. They couldn't do Ham and eggs for breakfast as the till wouldn't let them but finally they found a way to do it, so great customer service. Would recommend if you after a basic meal to come here, prices are good even after the price rise large breakfast under £6
Very good value meals, especially between 2-5pm when food prices reduced. Had fish and chips and it was excellent, generous well cooked portions which were hot and fresh. Unlimited refills on hot drinks.
Usually look forward to full English and hot chocolate BUT NOT TODAY! The vegetarian breakfast my son had was great, however mine the bacon was missing and my daughter hash browns were missing off hers. The mugs for the hot chocolates came after the breakfast so had to be left to go fetch them. Alas no chocolate in them just hot milky water and by the time we had fetched them breakfast was stone cold
Apauling customer service and terrible food. You could tell the place was a dive just from the outside appearance and it was even worse inside. It was too much effort when asking for a menu, being told they were on the tables when there was none insight and asking for 2 menus, one for me and one for my friend was just shocking to the lady behind the bar. We left our main meals almost untouched and walked out in the end, it was clear from the outset that the staff just didn't care about their customers and wanted the day to end so they could just go home. Truly has to be one of the worse places I have visited.
Lovely old Wetherspoons pub. Good selection of beers as you would expect. Really nice layout, plenty of room for the extra 50 or so that turned up from our coach. Friendly staff, excellent service. It's definitely in the top end of the many Wetherspoons pubs I've visited over the years.
Our "go to" Pub in Bromsgrove. Would score higher if plates and glasses were cleared. It can take over an hour and half, most of the time we do it ourselves. Other than that...NiceService: 2/5
Tables always covered by used plates cups and glasses ! Never enough bar staff! Often had to walk out and go elsewhere! Toilets Often like an indoor swimming pool! Window been boarded up for months! Bar staff are great when you eventually get one !
I have been here a few times because it's the only reasonably priced place in bromsgrove. So wanted to give it a chance. Can confirm that today will be my last visit. No clean tables, everytime I have been heredifferent times and days over half the menu is unavailable, Co2 usually is going or goneif you tell them this there is an issue every problem requires a manager. The cutlery had not been polished and though it wasn't dirty it was covered in water stains. I have worked in pubs the majority of my life and it screams of poor management. If I closed the pub without the potash being clear and dry there would be hell to pay. Saying that the sausage and chips we had was hot and prompt and the staff seem decent. I know why places like this do not hold on to decent people though: usually there is ramifications for doing your job well or bad and Rotas are not done 3 weeks in advance, again poor managements. It's the bear minimum for retaining good labor and I bet they don't. Overall it could be a well run pub and take allot more money during the day/afternoon time but these easy fixes let it down
