Treated poorly — felt judged by my race.nnVisited the Upper Hutt store on 16 May 2025 to buy a TV. I was ignored by two staff in the printing section — they saw me but acted like I wasn’t there. When I asked for help, their tone was cold and dismissive, like I didn’t belong.nnAt reception, Amii responded the same way — no interest, no effort. I was holding my crying child and still got brushed off. I genuinely felt I was being judged based on how I look.nnI stayed respectful the whole time. Check your cameras. If this is how you treat customers of colour, then say so openly. I won’t forget this experience.
First class customer service from all the staff I had contact with, great range of products and the special prices were really good, store was well organized and tidy, the lovely security man was extremely pleasant and helpful with a respectful and professional attitude towards customers. Great shopping experience at this branch of The Warehouse.
My husband and I went in today to collect an order, while waiting we witnessed extremely unprofessional behaviour from someone who seemed to be management.nTwo team members were reprimanded in front of numerous customers, instead of being offered support.nOne of the team members was just trying to do all he could to help customers.nMakes me not want to shop here often.
I am wondering how does the warehouse shops to make a income from the customers when they do not pick up there phones or do they really want customers to shop at there stores then pick up the phones when it rings if you have no customers then you have no jobs and no need for shops and then they close down due to luc of customer service to answer the phonesnAnd I will not run around from store to store you guys need to teach your guts how to answer a phone tht one call can make tht sell for the day or no sell then you start to stop paying the people, s wages are not enough customers for the amount of staff so then you have to down size people that work for the upper hutt warehouse
Another fantastic Red Shed. Great selection of most items from sports gear to fridge freezers. Staff are always helpful. The latest inclusion of the Stationary Warehouse is great for a one stop shop.
