The Verandah Cafe & Function Centre

A lovely place to meet up with friends after a walk around the lake, or perfect for Mum’s with kids as the playground is right next door! Food is good too, though would be great to have a few more vegan/GF options

A large cafe overlooking the lake. Easy parking. Great for families with playground nearby. But can be very busy and noisy. More of a food hall vibe than an intimate cafe vibe. Gluten free options are a bit lacking and food is pretty basic but good. Great place to buy an ice cream or coffee as you take the kids for a run around.

A rediscovered treat. I had an amazing lunch here today with everyone loving all the food and drinks. Super friendly staff even allowed me to choose from the children's menu as I only wanted a light lunch. The quesadillas were amazing! Plus you can't beat the amazing lake views.

I like the Wellington st beach, I go regularly for calm and nature. The trees, and birds the river helps me to find calm as I meditate ‍

The lake view and the option to eat outside make this a great place to eat. The food and the service were also excellent.
