Hayes Common

What an amazing experience… apart from the food itself which is AMAZING the staff are so friendly. They make you feel at home. I wish I could go every day! We had my mum and dads 40th wedding anniversary breakfast there they made it so special.

Hayes Common was a cafe offering a standard selection of cafe fare. We tried the eggs rosti/benny, buttermilk fried chicken, and citrus curd tart. The poached eggs on the rosti were slightly overcooked, but the fried chicken pieces were crispy and flavourful, though the saffron in the aioli was hard to detect. The citrus curd tarts were more like mini lemon meringue tarts—fruity & light but it felt more suited to an afternoon tea than a brunch dish. Service was prompt, and the staff members were friendly.

A popular cafe with great atmosphere. Good on street parking nearby. Had the Commoner menu item. This was a dish consisting of two eggs, mushrooms, sausages, spinach, a rasher of bacon, roasted potatoes and relish. A little cold but good presentation. Could have been warmer. Overall a good place for a casual meal.

I took a window seat to people watch as I ate solo. The team were attentive and friendly, the inside is full of natural light and super relaxing. The food and coffee was top notch and it came out promptly. Nice!

Very popular place with great nearby parking, plenty of seating. I thought the value for money was quite a bit off, paid $32 for breakfast and it hardly filled the plate, 1 tiny piece of toast for 2 over cooked poached eggs, some tiny bit of baked potato. If you're looking for value for money, this is not the place!
