The Steak House Taupo

Felt very satisfied after the meal. Had Eye fillet steak wrapped in bacon, cooked well, tasted fantastic while T bone steak was a bit over cooked. Gravy that came with the steaks was delicious as well. The environment was lovely, and the service was nice and professional.

We had Scotch fillet steak and another one with bone marrow, it was really nice but there was no veges with the steak. We did order some entrees and other sides. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant.

The food overall was pretty good. The steaks were cooked a little unevenly, but were overall pretty good. The sauce they came with was pretty tasty, i don’t recommend getting the $5 steak topper. If you go with a group and really want a particular steak sauce, I’d recommend buying one to share as the servings were pretty big, enough for 2-3 people easily. The broccolini tasted a bit like farts but the sauce saved it. The chicken in the caesar salad was a bit overcooked, and its a shame you have to pay extra for it. This place is pretty pricey for the amount of food you get, but overall quality was good and we did eat everything. I wouldn’t say any of the food was mind-blowing if thats what you’re looking for, but it was still pretty tasty. The service was good and our waitress was really nice.

Place was nice and warm. Hospitality was perfect. Food was great. The calamari and pork belly for entree was to die for and set up nicely for a beautiful medium cooked scotch fillet with mushroom sauce on a bed of baked potatoes.

Had a great meal here - we both ordered scotch fillet with bearnaise sauce and garlic butter and they were perfectly med rare. Meals came out super quick. Atmosphere was on point and service was top class. Will definitely dine here again.

On the 23rd of august me and my partner had been walking around Taupo for well over 30mins looking for a restaurant to dine in, after being turned away from one particular restaurant due to short staffing issues, we found The SteakHouse. Lovely atmosphere,amazing waitress, Kayla ur a star, u deserve a raise, best service we had ever received, and my partner is a chef of 22 years experience, here and 10 years on Oz, we will be back, thank u so much for the experience. You made our evening.

Wait staff were very friendly and polite. We were a large group but they handled us well. cocktails were impressive and tasted great. I had the calamari which was cooked well. I got to try the vegan pasta which was full.of flavor. Sadly the carrot was undercooked but thw flavors made up for that. Vegetarian options: pasta Kid-friendliness: yes

The steak was perfectly seared and with the bone marrow it was next level. I've never had anything like it before. Highly recommend if you're looking for good steak after a day of hiking.Food: 5/5

Very high quality steak in Taupro. We ate a scotch steak, duck beast, garlic cheese bread, and a desert. Both are exceptionally tasty. We will certainly come to eat again in our next Taupro visit.

Wow! What an amazing meal. As a collective the ambience, service, staff and food made our dining experience one to never forget. Super positive feedback for our phenomenal waiter, Chris - who delivered each course with poise and elegance, was very informative about each component of our dishes and smiled beautifully.
