The Rising Tide

Food was tasty. Pulled pork burger had great flavour but very small for price.nOne portion of our dumplings had been forgotten and when we told the waiter he went to see the kitchen but never returned with them.nWe left slightly disappointed.nThe dumplings we did have were very good though.

Can’t recommend it at all compared to the restaurants and bars in town.nThe food wasn’t good, especially the fried cauliflower. Additionally, the service was rude: they wouldn’t allow us to order beers, even though I am 26 years old and had both my ID and my driver’s licence with me.nHaving rules is fine, but being this picky and informing customers in such a rude manner is not understandable.

Great spot for larger groups, booking in advance best - we didn’t and were very lucky to get a table for 8 outside on a Saturday of a long weekend.nnGreat place for kids as there’s a big field with balls, chalk for drawing on the ground, colouring in at the tables and cornhole.nnHeaps of beers to pick from, the three I tried were great. Food was such a surprise! The dumplings were delicious and food came out pretty quick. Kids meals were huge and good value.

Held my 50th party here. The team were super helpful in terms of which area to reserve, what food options were available ahead of the date. On the night the Rising Tide team were friendly and accomodating for our party of 30. So helpful and fun. It was great evening. Food was so tasty. Defo recommend.

5 stars.nnThe Rising Tide in Mount Maunganui is an amazing spot.nnWe sat outside in the sun, watched the sun go down, ate dumplings, and enjoyed their delicious locally brewed beer. It had everything you want from a relaxed evening: great food, great drinks, and a brilliant atmosphere.nnA really special place and well worth visiting.
