Nice cafe with a classic kiwi vibe. Decent, well priced food. Lovely location where you can sit in the park or just sit with a view of it.
We stopped at this cafe, which is located at the same location as the Whangarei i-site. Yummy good food and coffee. The free WiFi works great! I was able to do some work on my laptop with no issues.
EASY parking, open 7 days, nice selection of eats, Rosa Kenny very helpful, Spacious surroundings in park with Whangarei ISITE next door. Prices competitive. Very relaxing park grounds
This little cafe, part of the information centre really surprised me. Friendly staff and a good menu. Food was really good and I had a nice coffee. I had a BLT and the wife had french toast which were both really good.
This is the first time I have visited since the change of ownership and was hugely disappointed with the food and service. The coffee was fine. If the only thing you are doing is sandwiches you better make a good sandwich. They were not good.
Friendly and helpful service. Nice location with room for the kids to play. Had a spinach and mushroom Benedict. Cooked to perfection and large portion size.
Press Cafe never ceases to impress me with their coffee, cake and Kai. I often find myself arriving into Whangarei and looking forward to my conversations while waiting for a decent cup of coffee from the ladies. They have a "coffee for the board" which is a "pay it forward" type of agreement. You buy a coffee for the board and when a customer or someone not so fortunate arrives at the counter their coffee is gifted to them to make their day brighter - LOVE THIS!
Omg! The biggest scam I have across in a long time. Menu looks fantastic but paying $17.80 for a small sandwich consisted of ordinary store bought bread and two very small pieces of chicken. My friends sandwich of grilled halloumi sandwich consisted on one small piece of halloumi that wasn’t even grilled!! Obviously they have no clue and may have changed ownership.
Much better experience with the change of ownership, used to go there alot but stopped because the food was just not up to scratch and the prices were too much, now its great l will definitely be returning again! Keep up the great work!
The food is good ...prices are similar to most places...however if you want deep fried food like hot chips they dont do these type of food its mainly sandwiches , saladsbut the outside area is lovely under trees a great stop over on the way to the Bay of Islands clean toilets outside.
