Finally found a fish & chip shop that serves quality food..these guys know what they are doing - beautiful batter & crumb - we tried the steak burger ciabatta bun, scotch fillet, grilled onion, lettuce, egg, tomato, beetroot, gherkin, sauce battered fish & homemade chips. Definitely get full here & it's a generous portion of chips & fish is decent sized. Order ahead it can be a bit of a wait but worth it. Gonna try the meatball dinner comes with salad & chips or a traditional italian woodfired pizzas gf base +$3 next visit. Prices standard for fish & chip shop but quality is well above the rest.Dine in or take away we ate in was homely, clean & tidy. Italian owners

This place is my local. Coming from the Coromandel originally I'm used to fresh amazing fish and chips. Ive been on the hunt for good cheap fresh fish and chips in Wellington for around 6 years. This place has pretty amazing fish and chips. You can get there homemade chips would recommend or regular frozen. They are lovely people and it's always quick. One thing though I'm not a fan of the burgers, the buns they use are no good especially for the fish burgers as the buns are think and tough and the fish is delicate so it does not go well together at all.. The buns they use also tend to soak up oil. The battered fish is much better than crumbed at this place. Just my opinion Other than that it's great here

The chips here are always nice. Home made when in season are so good. Even the frozen aren't bad and kumara ones too! I have only tried the veggie burger and a few of the sides, but all were excellent and, there's always a queue here for everything! Fran and the rest of the family and staff are always friendly and up for a yarn. It's a really nice place, almost restaurant standard, with that classic local fish n chip shop feel. They even have a pizza oven and are always helpful with my dietary requirements. They even put me on a tab when I forgot my card, no questions asked. Total babes.

New favourite of mine. Crumbed fish was cooked just right. Crispy but not burnt and flaky fish on the inside. Chips are good too. I've always preferred home made chips. Do not get the calamari though. They're not worth it and they aren't even nicely deep fried and you also don't get a lot. Price isn't that bad, they're still cheaper than the chippery. Besides I've noticed that a lot of fish and chips places are raising their prices. Love that I can get ben and Jerry's here though. Yum!

All in all not bad. I wouldn't call it the best fish and chips I've ever had, but I get the feeling this place is consistent, clean, quick, and generous. So if you like their style of fish, then you will love this place and keep coming back.

I chose this restaurant for takeaway after a long day of travelling. I ordered the fish dinner and apple turnover. Unfortunately, the batter on the outside of the fish and turnover was undercooked and the chips a bit soft. I was really hoping for good food based on all previous reviews. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me come back and pay in cash because my credit card wasn't working. She even let me take my food with me, trusting I would come back to pay. Something that would never happen in the states.

Fast, friendly and mostly delicious. Will be back! : Cheese burger was scrumptious very tasty, homemade meat patties and coleslaw! Spicy wedges were great too!

Regular team restaurant for Pizza after training at Wakefield. Nice & warm inside, good pizza + coffee or a fish meal all reasonably priced.

Pizza's are really good so does the chicken nuggets. Fresh and yummy. However, the chicken burger was quite dry and not fresh.
