The Olive Motel

Had a great stay here. Organised the room several months ago for a wedding, David called to ensure all was well a couple of weeks out.nEasy check in and painless checkout.nRoom was spotless with everything we needed.nWill happily be back to stay when in the Coromandel.

Lovely clean & tidy. Recently renovated & looking like new. Walking distance to nice reasturants. Had all the TV channels. Highly recommend.

I’m reaching out to express my disappointment with the way interactions have unfolded. While I understand that running an Airbnb property involves challenges, I found the owner’s tone and approach during our conversations to be unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. By far our experience in NZ has been a real great one other than this New. Zealander.nnAs a guest, I expected a level of respect and courtesy that aligns with the hospitality standards Airbnb promotes. Instead, the attitude displayed has made my experience far less pleasant than it should have been.nnI hope he understands that clear communication and mutual respect are essential for both hosts and guests. I trust that he will reflect on this and improve future interactions with his guests to ensure a better experience for everyone.

We were lucky to find the last room at the Olive Motel. The room was really clean, has good cooking facilities, excellent bathroom, and all the shows you can watch on the large TV. The air conditioning was a plus, even though we didn’t need to use it. It was fully booked that night but we didn’t hear any noise from other guests, so sound proofing is good!nThe location is good too, a short walk to the town centre, where there are quite a few good cafés and restaurants.nWe had a great welcome and excellent communication from David, the owner. Nothing seems too much of a problem for him: we left a pair of sandals behind and not only he found them but he will also mail them once the post shop will reopen after the public holidays!nThank you so much for a great stay and I hope you get that Peugeot of your dreams!

Stayed here during my travels. The room and facilities couldn't be faulted. You're a nice stroll distance in to town for a coffee or meal. Dave, the owner is very friendly and extremely helpful. He takes care of everything himself and does an awesome job. Highly recommend staying here and will certainly be back in the future. Thanks Dave for a great stay
