Lovely staff, and cute venue, however i cannot say the same about the food, the pizza was super cheesy but a bit bland and quite expensive for what it was, we got a “filled” pasta dish that had a minuscule amount of filling and a watery sauce - paid $23 for a starter size! My friends steak which came in a redwine and peppercorn sauce was sour and clumpy. It tasted so bad we had to get a whole new dish which they kindly replaced free of charge but even then the steak was chewy, the potatoes it came with were okay but not worth $52! Sadly wont be returning and wouldn't recommend - very overpriced for the quality of food.
We were Very nicely received without reservation. Deliciously fresh salad & natural unadulterated calamari with fresh lemon .. just like in Italy .such a treat sitting outdoors in the last of the afternoon sun , great to find a family owned operation serving genuine European home style dishes...Service: 4/5
Firstly I want to say the staff is very friendly and really nice, they really look after you. But I am here for food I went in once and got a veg pizza.. and it was dripping liquid usually happens when the sauce is watery . I thought they were just having a bad day so I went in again the next day and this time I had a chicken pizza and again it was dripping and went on my clothes. I haven't tried all the foods but the pizzas are definitely not worth $19. Like I can get better pizza for less at pizza hut what was the point of me coming to this restaurant :
Wonderful Pizza! Probably the best I have ever tasted and that says a lot because I am very critical when comes to pizza. The pizza bread entree was served up rather quickly and was a delicious surprise while enjoying our chilled beers. Fredo, the host was very friendly and made sure we were given a great dining experience. The staff where nice and saw to our orders expediently. We dined at the tables outside, which was great during early evening. Inside the restaurant there was a more intimate dining room and a couple extra areas for even more privacy. Ask for their Italian Wine and beers, export quality. 5+ Stars in suburban Auckland.
I read a poor review of this eatery before coming and nearly pulled out of the booking but decided to give it a shot as its one of the only italian restaurants in central Auckland that allow BYO. Sorry to say but the food was uninspiring and a bit tasteless, and the decor was a bit dark with an overall lack of atmosphere. Service was good - marks for that - but overall the experience was disappointing.
Best garlic cheese bread iv had....lovely authentic Italian pasta and sauces taste homemade lovely service
Delicious! And great service. Would definitely recommend their special pizza, very yum and special indeed
Food was very disappointing. Over priced. Slow service, but friendly wait staff.Food: 1/5
Always amazing whether dine in or take out. Wholesome, hearty Italian food made family style with a cozy restaurant.
Had a nice meal but was a little disappointed. Quite expensive for a place which feels removed from the hustle and bustle of Ponsonby .Food: 3/5
