Dantes Pizza

I really like the ambiance here. It's nice and relaxed. The staff was really approachable and helpful, and really seemed to care if we enjoyed the food and the experience. The food was pretty good and didn't take very long to come out. Definitely a place I would consider coming back to in the future.

After one bite, It made me remember back to 5 years ago I was at Firenze Italy. This is the best pizza in the last 3 years I have. Even pasta, it is soooooo nice. The prices is reasonable. The tables have limited need to book before. Staff are so nice and good service. Overall, it is a really nice shop, Highly recommended Food: 5/5

We usually go to the Takapuna one but they are under renovation so we came to this one- because their pizza is the best! Our little one was disappointed there was no fluffy here. The lovely owner bought one for her from the cafe nearby. What a warm gesture! It made our day!

Pizza it’s average, not really authentic Italian pizza for that price i had high expectations $35 just for the pizza. Rude move to come and the table at 8.45 and tell us the restaurant closed at 9pm, so we had to pay. I mean at Ponsonby??? On a Saturday??? Still other tables were eating! I have tried also other Dante's pizzerias. Yeah the dough is not even close to the Italians. Very similar to San Francisco style pizza from pizzahut. Didn’t like it.

Terrible customer service, untrained rude staff who also encourage fast alcohol consumption. Pizza is good but at $39 for a regular size pizza you can get same or better quality at some fantastic Italian institution restaurants along Ponsonby at same or cheaper price however with an incredible service and better atmosphere… look at other recent reviews for this place and you will see similar feedback re customer service & pizza quality. not worth it.

Great pizza! the service was spectacular, the young female waitress was very accommodating and it made my day! she walked us through the menu and made sure me and my husband were well taken care of the whole night. it is so very rare to see young people working hard these days and it was so refreshing to see our future putting in the work! Great pizza they have gained a new loyal custom.

I ordered a Calzone for $37 at a food court style establishment and was disappointed with what I received. The pizza was undercooked and only contained mushrooms, mozzarella, and two slices of salami. Considering the minimal ingredients used, I believe the actual cost of making the pizza would be no more than $6. While I understand the rising cost of food, this experience felt like a complete ripoff. I would recommend choosing Farina instead, as they offer better value for your money

Really the best pizza I've had in years. We had the buffalina. Had a couple glasses of red wine too, served at a perfect temp, I'm guessing around 16 degrees, though my wife thinks maybe 18 degreesFood: 5/5

If I could give 10 stars I would! Best best pizza I have ever had! Being a pizza lover this is my favourite food- we even have our own Ooni pizza oven, this is honestly the best pizza I have had in my life. Very very tiny little spot, so best book a table. Swiftly get your drinks ice cold Peroni on tap and the food follows soon. We ordered the Con Prosciutto and Fungo. Money well spent x100! We will be back and back and back again...

Pizza is no special compared to others, don't see why it is one of the best pizza in Auckland. Price is way too high for that small pathetic size of pizza, and looks like that is not the only thing small here. Everything is too small, the restaurant is small, there is no inside seat, kitchen is small, the tables are small, there is no place to put food on the table if you ordered entree and mains. Bad management, not worthy to even try it.
