The Grill at Solway Park

Terrible place - don't bother with it. I reserved a table for a Mother's Day treat, 1.5 hours after ordering we were told the kitchen hadn't started on our food. We opted to leave the manager offered to covered our 5 soft drinks at least, as our three children were hungry and upset. The family seated behind us got up to leave too. Very disappointed.

Really average food, more like acceptable pub food. Steak was full of gristle and the lamp rump was tiny. The menu descriptions do not match the actual food, they were both just big plates of mashed potato. Service was pleasant but almost like they were surprised to get customers. Believe the 1 star reviews...

Went for dinner with my mum. Food was amazing, we both had pork and it was so tender and delicious. Parmesan hash for starters and banoffe for dessert were also yum. The best part of the experience was the service. Briana looked after us so well and we felt right at home because of her.

The pork & cabbage dumplings are delicious!! Can’t wait to try the rest of the new menu
