Went there last night for the New Years set menu. It was impeccable, great dishes, very well designed and made perfectly, with all the flavours of each dish perfectly complimenting each other. Also, very filling. Would definitely eat there again. We loved everything we tried, include the excellent cocktail menu.nnI would love it if there was a set menu in the main menu as well. As these dishes went so well together and felt perfectly crafted to go togethernnI had the baby pea bruschetta and my partner had involtini di pollo. Unfortunately not pictured.nnFor main, I had rafanata potato cake with pecorino cheese and veges and my partner had the braised beef short rib. These are pictured. He particularly like the surprises of things like raspberries stuffed into the tomatoes.nnDessert we both got the almond and orange cake, it was amazing and seemed to be soaked in orange, pictured.nnEverything was perfect
Everything was exceptional from the texture, taste and presentation of the food to the service and atmosphere. Loved the big floor to ceiling windows. I felt taken care of by the friendly, attentive staff. Food was meticulously crafted.
I visited The Good Spot Eatery for an interview and was deeply moved by the kindness and warm hospitality of the staff. Each dish was carefully prepared, incredibly delicious, and made generous use of local Wairarapa ingredients! The restaurant's atmosphere was warm and cozy, and I was able to learn about the region's food culture and the connection between local producers and restaurants. I hope this wonderful place continues to be loved by many customers!
Excellent brunch, food was delicious and they also serve up a great flat white so much so we had two!. Guy was super friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Honestly probably the best food I've eaten especially in Masterton, this place rivals any other restaurant even in Wellington, Auckland and overseas. Thankyou to the chef and the great wait staff!
