Lone Star Masterton

Really disappointed with the ribs tonight. We ordered the cross road outlawed serve and expected a decent serving, but what we got was dry overcooked ribs. To make it worse, they only came with the tiniest container of sauce, which wasn’t nearly enough for the amount of ribs.nnFor the price, it just didn’t feel like good value. We’ve had much better before, so this was pretty disappointing. Hopefully this was just a one-off because I’d expect a lot better for $75!! The rest of our takeaway order was average too

Very awesome customer service, we used first table to save money. I wasn’t a fan of the mussels but the redneck ribs were so delicious and my kids had the fish n chips and burger meals which I got to make a fish burger out of lol and the fish was so yummy.

Great place. Really yummy food. I had the squid rings, they were very good, crunchy and tasty. The loaded hog was really nice, pork was tender and crunchy crackling and the buffalo wedges were so delicious they had a crunch then fluffy inside. And the crème brûlée was very very good, great on its own didnt need the extra rhubarb sauce but very nice also. Quite large portions which is great. Great place, our server, Feresia, was really friendly and did a great job. Thanks Heaps

Friends and family attended Lone Star Masterton on Friday night to celebrate a milestone birthday. There were 25 of us, so we were placed on a set menu, presumably to make things easier for the staff which is understandable.nnThe set menu clearly stated that every meal came with Buffalo Chips and Lonestar Coleslaw. However, every single “Burrrrito” that came out was missing both sides and instead arrived with corn chips and guacamole. This disappointed everyone who ordered it, especially considering we were paying for a fixed set menu. To make matters worse, an extra “Burrrrito” was brought out that nobody at our table had ordered. We immediately informed the staff, and the meal was taken away.nnThe organisation only got worse from there. When staff initially took orders, they took both mains and dessert orders at the same time. Later, when desserts were served, we were told only two people at one table had ordered dessert, which was obviously incorrect. Credit where it’s due, the waiter handled that mistake quickly and professionally.nnBut the biggest issue came when it was time to pay. We were told there had supposedly been 32 desserts ordered, despite there only being 25 people in the entire group I'm assume this came from the waiters mess-up. Some people hadn’t even ordered dessert due to dietary restrictions. How do you even end up charging for seven extra desserts on a controlled set menu? What is the point of having a set menu if staff are allowing people to deviate from the set menu? What is even the purpose of using a set menu at that point.nnWe were then informed that we also had to pay for the extra “Burrrrito” that nobody ordered in the first place. Somehow this meant we were being charged for 26 set meals for a group of 25 people. After a heated argument at the counter, a staff member named Sasha finally removed the seven desserts that were never ordered, but we were still left paying an additional $77 for the mystery meal and drinks that nobody in our group had ordered.nnOverall, this was an incredibly frustrating and poorly managed experience. The level of disorganisation was unacceptable, especially for a large booking celebrating an important occasion. I would absolutely not recommend attending Lone Star Masterton based on this experience.
