Story

Like most Kiwi families, my husband and I both hold down full time jobs as well as keep up with busy family life, our kids after school sports practices and games take up most of our afternoons and evenings So the last thing we want do when arriving home at 7pm or even later some nights is cook and clean up! We just want to eat, unwind and get the kids into bed and up early for tomorrow!
We've always been food people, but we haven't always eaten well.
—even with a background in fitness and nutrition—we found ourselves sitting in the drive-though lane too many nights a week, with a carload of hungry kids and not enough hours left in the day.
we knew we needed to eat better. What we didn't know was where to find the time and energy to plan, shop for and cook those healthy meals,

We realized most of our friends were in the same boat as us they also struggle to cook and eat real healthy meals every night in real life.

As work/life balance has declined, so has the health of New Zealander's. We are all living the myth of "doing it all", while being secret frequent flyers at the drive-through.

And that's how The Food Company was born!
