Just had the most incredible experience at The Cork & Cap! If you believe that wine is more than just a drink, this is the place for you.nnTheir dedication to quality is evident, with a stunning selection of Central Otago's finest wines. Each sip tells a story, and the staff are passionate about sharing their knowledge, making the experience even more special.nnDon’t miss out on their delicious locally sourced platter which paired perfectly with my wine choice, elevating the whole experience!nnIf you’re looking for a place to unwind and indulge in the magic of wine, I highly recommend stopping by! Cheers to great wine and even better moments!
Awesome wine bar/tasting room that's open later than wineries. They like to feature a variety of small and big local wineries of different regions. $20 for a 6 wines of your choice. Nice variety. Standard pour sizes. Staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Big parking lot. Highly recommend
We have done a lot of NZ tastings in the past three weeks 180 wines, and this was the best. Particularly good after a mediocre Mt. Difficulty experience earlier in the day.nnWarwick, one of the owners of Pisa Range Estate, conducted the tasting, and gave us over an hour of his time as we sampled 11 wines, including all of the Pinot Noirs on hand.nnWas nice to sample wines from several small, family owned wineries that we wouldn't be able to duplicate at home. The variety and quality of flavor profiles for the same varietal among wineries within a relatively small geographic area was noteworthy.nnHighly recommended!
What a great tasting experience!!! I GREATLY appreciated your ability to accomodate walk-in tasting visitors, as not all travelers are able to plan in advance. Thank you to the gentleman who hosted, who was also one of the owners, for guiding me through your wines in a way that was informative and interesting. Even though there were a few other visitors, I still felt as though he was paying attention to me and offering a worthwhile experience. This little tasting room was a highlight of my Cromwell visit. The complimentary tasting offered 6 different wines, all with unique flavors. There were predominantly riesling varietals but with a wide range of qualities that could captivate drinkers of all different wine types. I left with a bottle of the late harvest riesling!
Great late afternoon tasting after finishing the Dunstan ride. Sigrid was a gracious, passionate and knowledgeable host providing a beautiful range of tastings from smaller bespoke wineries in the Cromwell/central Otago region. I particularly loved the collaboration of winemakers coming together to give wine lovers the opportunity to taste their wines in a tasting room with Sigrid from Mt Pisa sharing her love and generational wine knowledge from her Pisa Range Estate heritage.nnSo nice that I was encouraged by the lovely host at Misha’s to go next door with a couple of highly recommended tastings to try with Sigrid. Needless to say I came away with more wine than my backpack could carry and had to wait for a ride at Stokers next doo but that’s another story!
