We popped in a few minutes after noon to discover the brunch menu finishes at 12. A few of the junior staff said we couldn’t order but the owner chatted to the chef who agreed to make them. Much appreciated to the owner & the chef, we will make sure we are there in the brunch timeframe for future visits. the meals & drinks were delicious.
Amazing little place, very cosy, great prices and portions were large, vegetarian options available, staff were very friendly. We got the chicken burger and the fried chicken with fries, we will be back.
My absolutely favorite place in Akaroa! The best chai latte I've had in NZ, mozzarella ciabatta, eggs bene, pad thai, teriyaki salmon, desserts... Pad thai is better here than I've found in Thailand! The atmosphere here is so cosy, with friendly owners, staff and doggies . It's good spot to just enjoy the slow morning with the book and coffee, meet your friends to play some board games bananagrams! or organise birthday party - checked it all . You can realy feel that the heart of the town beats here. The Common - I love you!
Talk about save the best til' last!nExcellent, friendly service, nothing was too much trouble, our numerous questions answered, with warmth and good humour. The food was simply the best we've had on our travels across NZ. The Thai seafood salad to share as a starter followed by the Larb salad with salmon and the Thai beef salad, excellent flavours, and beautifully cooked. A special thanks to Judit, DM, Brynn our waitress and font of all knowledge and chef Pop.
