Very helpful even though I did not purchase a vehicle but I would recommend them
Marketplace is better than these guys. Transmission went out after 6 weeks of use. We then had to argue with them and threaten them with the tribunal before they finally agreed to pay for it to be fixed. 4 months of mess around with the vehicle and its finally back on the road, but not without a lot of effort. Not worth it.
If I could give one star I would. Bought a car from them over a year ago, took it for a wof today and it failed due to the type of tyres they sold it with!! Wherever they get their wofs done before sale must be dodgy. Check your tyres before you drive off!!
Very poor service, bought a car on Saturday and my finance company was swift and efficient with the purchase of the car. I was told that the car would be ready on Tuesday, being new to NZ and having work alot of the time I made arrangements to have the car delivered to me. Upon the purchase of the vehicle all the staff was great and friendly but now it seems as though they have the capital for the car there is no sense of urgency to follow through with the deal. A part was ordered for my car on Monday it has only arrived apparently today and the car will only be delivered tomorrow all this I had to run around trying to find out on my own as there has been no communication from the cheap car place about the delay. If I haven't called I wouldn't know where my car is. Last was told that the car will be ready by the end of today. Tried calling as I made arrangements to go and get my car after work and my call has just been left to ring
I bought a used car from The Cheap Car Place, could not have been happier with how it went, the car has been on a road trip, thankfully sailed through 1300ks of travel
bought a care in April, been in the repair shop more than in my garage. Excuses, delays, lies and never returning calls of following up. But they will give you a piece of junk as a courtesy car to drive for 6 weeks at a time.
They don't give correct information about car before selling. When you buy and start to use car you will be able to learn problems about car. When you take back car to them it's to late!!. And during selling process they are very kind after you sign papers they are rude and always try to fight. Never buy car from them.
Had the best experience working with Barry! He was amazing and so very polite and didn’t give up on helping me with finance and finding a vehicle, he was the best and definitely reccomend this company to help find you your car! i would like to show my appreciation for barry! honestly such an amazing worker! very hard working and amazing communication! big ups to you barry! thank you!
My friend bought a car from them. And it broke down after 1 week. So be careful before buying from them. Also, the prices of their cars are a lot more expensive than elsewhere.
Brought a car from here had to send it back to them a couple of times only for them to say it was fixed in the end had to pay my own mechanic to fix half of the problem and the rest needed to be fix by an auto electrician which the cheap car place wouldn't get it fixed and now they are expecting me to have an unsafe car for me and my kids, spent 10,000 on a car that I can't use and they won't replace it
