If I could give them no rating at all I would. I always avoid complaining if possible but the service we received was disgusting and shocking. We prebooked a drop off and pick up two weeks in advance. Our drop off was 1 hour late which meant our group we were travelling with had to be split. We called up to find out where our taxi was and we were bluntly told the taxi would be there soon. No updates even though we were reassured our booking would be a priority. Our pickup was even worse. We were booked to be picked up at 11:30pm we didn’t get picked up until 1:15am. We were left stranded in Portsmouth repeatedly receiving updates of a new car and then the driver cancelling our pickup. This was absolutely disgusting service considering we were told our booking would be treated as a priority and we had already prepaid £90 for this service. We felt very unsafe unsure if our taxi would even arrive. We called the company 80 times until someone finally answered, when they did answer they just hung up on us and couldn’t be bothered to deal with it. We were nothing but polite to them, shocking and concerning customer service. One lady said ‘it is what it is my shift finished 2 minutes ago’. Another colleague hung up on us. Not very reliable and I will not be using them again. Awful service, customer service doesn’t exist. Will be looking into speaking to management and seeking a refund or some form of compensation which I doubt we won’t get. Would not recommend to anyone.
HY66WRE Taxi number 756 Blue Skoda. Almost knocked me off my bike today then just sat smirking at me with passengers in the car. Asked him if if was worth risking my life to get to the traffic lights 10 seconds earlier and he said "yep". What a class act. I have been a customer of yours for 10 years. Disgraceful.
To start with the telephone booking system couldn't find my road, and it took 3 attempts to speak with someone because it kept cutting me off when transferring to speak to someone to book it. However, when I finally got it booked, I was happy with the updates and tracking information just before my taxi arrived, which was on time. My driver was also very friendly and a good driver and I felt safe. I will definitely use them again. I dropped one star because of the issues initially trying to book it which got quite frustrating. I will try doing it via the app next time.
The driver on the way took me to the wrong place which made the cost £14 instead of what should have been £4.20 as it was on the way back as I did the same journey coming back and it cost me £4.20. I tried to say that I didn’t think it was fair that I should have to pay for going to the wrong place but the driver wasn’t happy and then also refused to wait for me which would have been a 5 minute wait and told me to ring a different taxi. The driver on the way back was very friendly very polite and respectful as is normally my experience with this company. Was quite upset at losing nearly £10 due to no fault of my own as like it is for everyone at the moment money is tight and that would have got me a couple of days food for me and my son. Do want to say that I do rate this taxi company and always have a pleasant experience normally
The driver and customer service lady was so rude. company mistakenly sent two cars or it might be their app. But I was sure that I book one even if I double booked, I could go downstairs and compensate him and I didn't even cancel anything. My wife take one of these two taxi sent by Aqua and went to her destination. However, second taxi call me and telling me that I am idiot. So, I called their customer service the lady who picked up the call was so rude and lying about the booking that I canceled the taxi which I didn't. I never ever get that kind of worst behaviour from a company customer service and taxi driver. Now, when I see the Google review I understand these behaviour is very common for them. Thankyou, Abdul
My very independent Mum was brought home from the QA hospital on 29/09/22 by one of your taxis. She isn't sure of her driver's name but he has recently started with you. He was very helpful; ensuring she was comfortable and warm enough. He was also an excellent driver and he got her home safely. She couldn't have asked for better. Thank you.
Hi aqua car’s my name is Alex Standing and I use your company all the time and I’ve never had any problems or issues with your company car drivers they have always been very helpful and I appreciate your service. And I always give a little tip to any driver who picks me up and then takes me back home. I will always use your company you’ve got a great taxi service. Thanks Alex standing
Awful company. Do not use!! We prebooked 2 taxis to collect us at 11:30pm on a Saturday. We got a text at 11:15pm to say they were on their way so at 11:30pm went outside to wait. By midnight they still hadn’t arrived and as we had my grandparents in their 80s standing in the freezing cold, we called them to ask where our taxis were. We were told the drivers might have ‘taken’ the job and then decided to go home. We had already prepaid £50!! Luckily someone else gave us their taxi and arranged for it to come back and get them. Awful service they we won’t be using again and advise others not to do the same if they don’t want to be ripped off and left in the cold waiting. I can see that there are similar comments below so clearly a cowboy company.
My personal experience was great. They were bang on time, on New Year’s Day morning too! Price was a bit more than Uber but we didn’t want to risk not having a driver available there. Polite enough driver who accepted cash and card.
Just spent a few days in Southsea and used Aqua Cars three times - can't fault them. All three times they were there in five minutes, kept us updated with texts, and the drivers were helpful and courteous. Prices were very reasonable too - a similar journey in my hometown of Lincoln would have been at least 50% more expensive. Thank you - will use again on my next visit.
