The Chamberson Hotel

The text instructions before arrival were good, but had to drive around the block twice to find the hotel parking. Hotel parking was a very tight squeeze in very tight car parks and very low ceiling. Bit nerve-wracking driving in and out of there. Entrance to hotel is not very obvious when arriving in the dark and the instructions for the keypad failed to mention that you have to push the # key after entering the number otherwise the main entrance door won't open. Luckily I figured this out. There was no reception desk at main entrance, which felt a bit weird. Reception was on 1st floor and only manned at certain hours. Our room was styled like a loft apartment, which was very cool but it just felt very dark. The industrial design and furnishings were great, but the lounge needed another light, the kitchen breakfast bar needed downlights, the bedroom needed more lights and the bathroom had no light over the mirror, which made it very difficult to apply makeup. Lovely big bathroom and modern tiled large shower, but needs more bench space for women's toiletries. Loved the exposed brick and large old-style sash windows. Very quiet room location

A MODERN cental city pad! Gorgeous accommodation very central to octagon, bars and shops. Very good security with card access. Comfortable bed separate from small lounge area. Large shower and modern bathroom. Excellent communication by the hotel via email and text. No personal interaction but instructions were clear to let oneself in and check out. Basement parking was a bit of a squeeze.

Totally loved our The Chamberson experience! Very New York style, beautiful abode apartment. Styley decor. Quiet. Relaxing. In the city centre of Dunedin - can walk to restaurants, bars, movie theatres, galleries, parks, markets, supermarkets. Rooms are serviced every day or a bad drop off what you need. Very cozy and warm. Loved it! Thank you!!!

Was good for a short stay. Centrally located, on the street. No parking allocated by the hotel. Have to park on the street. Or overnight paid parking. The room was with no balcony or windows for any view. It's a closed room. But neat and clean.Rooms: 4/5

Beautiful room, very New York Loft style. Ambient lighting and colour scheme. Very tasteful decor, superb kitchen and bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed and total blackout conditions at night. Spotless and quiet, never heard a sound. Highly recommend booking into The Chamberson, we really enjoyed our two night stay here.Rooms: 5/5

Double booked despite showing availability, would not honour my booking despite having availability in other room types. Very disappointing and poor customer experience

A great place to stay. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had an attic room with a skylight which was very well appointed. Loved the big bathroom. Would definately stay again and reccomend to othersRooms: 5/5

I'm incredibly fussy about cleanliness and tidiness and walking into my loft attic room was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again. Decor was simple but modern and comfortable. Value for money, highly reccomend
