The Carson's Gallery Bookshop Cafe

About

This new cafe is in Carson's Bookshop. Grab a coffee while you're looking at the books and enjoy the artwork for the current display of art, local and from other well-known artists.

Story

There's a reason why this little cafe is called the Kitchen. Everything is made on site, just like the very best of home home cooking.

This is a very cosy coffee shop. Nested inside Merci concept store, the book shelves on the walls give it a very quiet, comfy and peaceful atmosphere. They offer a very yummy selection of cakes and great coffee. Plus, their QR code system to pay online without having to ask for the bill is quick and convenient.
The atmosphere was perfect! I’ve been looking for a coffee shop with a vibe like this. I ordered a cappuccino, which was delicious, it was hot and tasty. The carrot cake was Fresh and not too sweet, just perfect! I’d highly recommend!
Branching into the Merci concept store, this cafe looks like a second-hand bookstore/cafe, but it's all decoration. Although the caffe latte I got was very good, it seemed a bit pricey at €7. The waiter also forgot about the slice of Tarte Tartin I had ordered and when it was hurriedly brought, it was unevenly heated, so part cold, part warm. Bit of hit and miss mix to be honest.
The place is cosy and chill, The coffee is good i would recommend the latte, the hot chocolate is meh nothing special about it, but the bakeries are so good. The whole old library vibe with a latte and a cake is really nice.Recommended dishesGolden Latte, Cookie
Such a nice place. Drinks and food taste so good. Extremely nice people working here. Absolutely recommending it :
Nice and comfy café, nestled into a nearby boutique. It is popular among locals and tourists alike because of its antique and comfortable atmosphere. The prices for drinks and food are not the cheapest since you pay for the decor, but the atmosphere is worth it
Great iced coffee and really nice servers. A great cafe to take a break after shopping at Merci!
Lovely place, very friendly staff. Would definitely deserve 5 stars, if only the bathroom would be bigger. It is shared with Merci shop and queues are crazy
We went in the evening. Very nice place and cozy. However, worst drinks ever and expensive for nothing.. 8 euros for an enormous chunk of Ice that can hurt someone and a bit of fizzy tasteless-supposed-to-be-mocktail. The guy working there was just doing something he had to do and didn’t seem welcoming at all. Too bad for such a nice place.. probably better to visit during the day for a coffee.
So the place is a little hard to find since it’s inside the store ‘Merci’ but it looked super cute so we made a reservation for 5PM anyway. We arrived at around 5:10 and took 5mins to find the place, but as soon as we entered someone came up to us and told us they were closing, we showed our reservation but they asked us to leave anyway because we were 10mins late. The server said they close at 6 and just blatantly asked us to leave. Super rude and I don’t recommend visiting, paris is full of cafés with better service so definitely add this to your avoid list
