I am studying Accounting. Great communication from all the staff. Easy to navigate the website. Great content, not too complicated but a good challenge. Plenty of help on hand and they the staff are very encouraging. I'm really enjoying this course so far, it's not something I ever thought I was capable of. I definitely recommend giving it a go
Started course in psychology and counselling and thoroughly enjoying it so far. Website very easy to navigate. Course material is exceptionally laid out. So much content and very well explained. You never feel alone, tutors are readily available for guidance and support and student discussion platform is really helpful if you have a question or need direction. Great course and I would highly recommend it.
I’m very unhappy. I signed up for the accounting certificate. Someone rang me and said if I upgraded to pathway they’d give me the printing for free and send me a Samsung tablet. I agreed. Four weeks later I haven’t recieved the tablet. Communication is non existent, apart from someone eventually replying to ask someone else to send me the tablet. Still no tablet a week later, still no receipt showing printing deductions, and no more communication yet again. Two stars only because the actual course and certificate would have been fine to complete if this whole experience didn’t scream lack of professionalism. I didn’t apply for pathway - they sold it to me and I trusted them to be honest. Total scam, don’t fall for it. I note your reply. My reply to that is I did email you two days ago, and forwarded you the email confirming what the staff member had said, and you did not respond. So while I appreciate your trying to look as though you care about your customers on a public forum, that is not my experience so far.
Absolute scam! I signed up thinking I was getting a nzqa qualification - I was told that I was. Four months later and they lock me out of my account - saying I didn't pay them when I had an automatic payment going to them every week. Now that I have an issue, I'm not getting any replies from anyone and I will be going to the police about this next Friday If they do not contact me by then. The owner of the business has already gone to court from scamming and fraud so I'm sure they will be interested to know that he is doing the same stuff even now.
The enrollment process is very easy. Once enrolled you are encouraged to watch tutorials so you understand how to navigate through the course. Support from The Career Academy team have have been great thus far. A special shoutout to Charlyn who was absolutely amazing to deal with.
If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. I inquired a month ago regarding my options for online study. The guy who I spoke to answered my questions, took my details, advised him i needed time to think about my options, and he stated he would call me back next monday, to which i heard nothing from. So i made contact stating i do not wish to sign up but appreciate the service. Absolutely no correspondence, despite my endless emails to the company and money being deducted with no authority on my end. A month later, I received books through them and an overdue account. I again emailed the institute, as I had heard nothing, and one tutor responded that she would pass on my concerns to the accounts team, who will make contact. Within a period of 3 weeks, one email from accounts to state my request has been declined as i was outside of seven days, and the overdue amount requires payment . How would i like to pay it off. I then called to ask what’s happened and they’ve said someone would be in touch from the accounts team. Despite evidence of my correspondence outling screen shots of timeline, they refused my request and still made it very clear that I owe them money for the courses I was inquiring about. They also stated at the beginning of my every phone call that all conversations will be recorded for training purposes, but when mentioned to go back and listen to the recordings which I had all times and dates, it could not be found. So money being deducted without my authority, and now I’m currently in the process of going through my lawyer and potentially court. Absolutely a disgrace to innocent people trying to make something of their lives, and when it doesn't suit the provider, they take advantage and scam you...
0 STARS!! Impossible to cancel within your 7 free day trial! I cancelled within my 7 day trial, received no correspondence confirming that it had been cancelled and money started coming out of my account. They blocked my email and my emails were bouncing back. I FINALLY was able to get through to someone on the phone to confirm it had been cancelled and they assured me it had and I would be refunded my money. This did not happen. Money kept coming out, calls from their finance team demanding I owed them money. It has now been over 2 months and I have not received my refund or confirmation that my account has been cancelled. I had to lodge a dispute with my bank, change my bank card and seek legal advice as they are threatening to send a debt collector to my address claiming I owe them $3.5k. Worst company ever !!!!! DO NOT DO IT!!!!
It was easy and quick to apply this course and you can begin immediately. I had a lovely chat over the phone with Sabrina, she was kind and lovely. I am looking forward to finishing Hospitality and Business Pathway as I recently got a supervisor role at a new hotel in Dublin as I have been trying for two years; this course will strengthen my knowledge and improve my English from intermediate to advanced. With this course, I will be able to open a little cafe or a bar one day. It's very simple, detailed course just how I like it.
I found Carrer Academy programmes very easy to follow. Each module was explained very well, the lessons were short with a quiz at the end - you have get 80% to pass3 attempts which is very doable. You also have to submit an exercise per section. I'm enjoying my course, I have no degree but have a good concept of accounts.
Am requesting a cancel after 7 days but still I was told to pay almost 3k and when I enrolled I ask if it was NZQA recognised i was told yes ! But actually it’s not am have send several emails requesting to cancel but i was told no it’s not fair how Careers college is operating i have talk to my lawyer I was told to wait for few weeks especially now living cost is just crazy and if am not using a service why would someone ask me to pay and it’s a lot of money and i got two kids to look after I wish i could rate 0 to careers Academy i was send kit yesterday why I was not send within 7 days and no one has called me yet to talk about this matter hopefully my request will be cancel as soon as possible thanks
