Au Pair Link is a New Zealand based company founded in November 2006. We became a New Zealand registered company in April 2007. Since then we have assisted in many hundreds of Au Pair placements throughout New Zealand and become an important part in the lives of many families and Au Pairs alike. We now have over 30 full and part time employees throughout New Zealand.

Au Pair Link is the leading Au Pair agency in New Zealand having achieved many industry firsts. Just some of our achievements include:

I started in New Zealand as an Au Pair Mate from September 2017 to March 2018. As I arrived two weeks before orientation day/s, I met with my family first before receiving any support with Au Pair Link, however I wasn't overly worried at that point. During orientation which runs for around 2-3 days I was only required to show up for 1 day as I was an Au Pair Mate. This didn't give me a lot of time to meet and make new friends, that where in a similar postion as me. During my time in New Zealand I never got the support form Au Pair Link because my charges where above the age of 5 Primary School Age. I felt as though I was a second class citizen to those who had younger children. In my last few weeks in New Zealand I contacted Au Pair Link through email and through a phone call asking when I should close my bank account among other things, and was informed that I could close it anytime during my last week, which I did. After I got home, I was looking back through my payslips and realized that I never received my last payment. When I contacted Au Pair Link they told me they had sent it to the bank account that they had already told me to close. They also informed me that they had asked my host parents if it was alright to send the money through, without checking to make sure that the account was still open and valid. After raising my points about receiving the advice to close my account they finally send the money through less the international transaction and bank fees. Also because of the advice given to me by Au Pair Link I can't receive my tax return as I no longer have a New Zealand Bank account. I would personally recommend that Au Pair Link works on these couple of issues, even though I do believe I was generally ripped off. Otherwise my time in New Zealand was great. I really enjoyed getting to know my host family and travelling around New Zealand itself.

They are thorough and efficient, and have answered all my questions to ensure we were making the right decision. We are so happy with our Au Pair and we want to keep her for ever! Working with Program and Candidate managers from APL has been a real pleasure for both Au Pairs we've had through them however communications from the payroll and other areas have been a real let down with no responsibility taken for incorrect or false information. My best advise for dealing with APL would be buyer beware and double check everything they tell you.
