The Brydone Hotel

Great place to stay. Room was nice, very clean and comfy. Great value for money. Delicious breakfast and service. Would recommend.Rooms: 4/5

Unfortunately we have met a function of Hiflo Group 50 years. We can’t stand the noisy till the midnight. After all, it’s a accommodation not a bar. The hotel should think about carefully accept this kind booking.

Arrived around 7pm door to entry from parking locked. Ph to be told to walk around the building. She did not want to open the door as too far! Was with a person who struggled to walk she had a stick. Finally got in and rooms were upstairs. Food was different price to menu in restaurant and Booked 2 identical rooms one more expensive and they would not offer the same for both Coffee tasted like metal Unfriendly

We didn't stay, we dropped in for food today. The cabinet food was gone except cakes. We were told the labels were there. We being baby boomers want to see what the cheese toastie looks like... Disappointing

Enjoyable stay. Young gentleman waiter was awesome even interacting with young children which they thoroughly enjoyed and we enjoyed watching their wee faces.He is an absolute asset to Brydone Hotel.Rooms: 4/5

Not the greatest experience. Met by a woman at the front counter who looked us up and down and acted like she had a major problem with us….snapped at me when checking in, as I mentioned our name sounds different than it’s spelt. Were not told there were lifts, and had to carry heavy airport baggage up the stairs. Yelled at us on the stairs asking if we wanted to open an account to charge things to our room, which we politely declined. Her response was “oh well, suit yourself then” in a rude condescending tone. We were really shocked. The next morning a cleaner let herself into our room at 9am when we weren’t even dressed or checked out yet. Couldn’t get out of the place fast enough. Shocking service.

Not really interested in serving alcohol had no idea what a stout was felt we were more trouble than he wantedService: 2/5

First room we were given was so dark it was depressing. Second one smaller but much brighter. Great location right in town, with a small glimpse of the oceanRooms: 4/5

Lovely meal. Atmosphere in the dining area Lovely, open fire real old style. Staff very friendly.
