Empire Hotel Backpackers

I got a room without a Door handle from inside. There is no tea in kitchen and it was cold in room.nFrom good aspects this place has unic furniture and nice kitchens. Big ones.

Worst backpackers I've ever stayed at in my life and I've stayed in ones all over the world.nThe room stinks a damp,musty smell which smells like grandma's closet.The carpet is from the 1960s and badly needs replacing and everytime you shut the door it's like the window is going to fall out.Oh and on top of that there is a SHEET for a curtain.Toilets are not advertised as male or female and there is a lot of confusion around that.nUnbelievably bad it shouldn't even be open.nThey also say no check-ins from 9pm so other guests are disrupted but that clearly wasn't the case when I was staying.nDo yourself a favour and stay at the other backpackers.nI left at 11.30pm at night because it was so bad and I couldn't sleep.nThe only good thing about this place is the location.

Loved this place!!!! Parking for free behind building, access from there via a small alley. Easy area to walk, lots to see and do. Co-ed bathrooms and shower areas, but privacy in there by closing doors for your specific activity. Everyone was very nice! Musical instruments in the rooms by the kitchen!!!

As a backpackers this is clean, well-provisioned and at a very reasonable price. I met the owner by chance. Nice guy.

A bit old stay. Small rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Fantastic location. Ample parking. Walls are bit thin. Please do not expect luxury in the rooms. You will feel to be taken aback in time. I loved my stay and experience.
