Brydone Hotel Oamaru

I encountered a couple of problems during my stay here. Management phoned me to apologise a few days later which I appreciated a lot. It was a busy public holiday weekend with busloads of tour groups and VIPs to look after so staff were doing their best. Be mindful using the lift near reception. Also be sure to inspect the bathroom towels before using.

This is one of those old fashioned hotels you can find across NZ and we enjoyed our stay despite having an old room they have newer ones at the back of the building facing the street. It wasn't noisy and everything was functional. Exceptional water pressure in the shower! The only drawback was the bed which has seen better days and shows the age of the room. We would stay again.

We check in on the 9 of May. The receptionist was very nice and super friendly. I have request many things and she serve me very well.nnThe restaurant staffs are super nice too. Needless to say the food was amazing. The meals are serve big portions and taste delicious. The price just perfect, you will hard to find another place with this generous portion!!!nnWill come back to stay another time to enjoy the lamb shank.nnLamb shank is a Must Try!!!!!

At the end of every stay, you always remember how the staff contributed to your stay. Chloe at reception gave us information about The Running of the Penguins which we would have missed without her letting us know. What a once in a lifetime event it was. Thank you !

Had a great stay at Brydone Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable.nWe enjoyed meals in the beautiful dining room. We will definitely be back again.
