What a wonderful evening we had at The Apple Shed. We we're celebrating our wedding anniversary and everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived the staff were all friendly and attentive. Plenty of options to choose from the menu, our slow roasted lamb shoulder was excellent and dessert was delicious. This was also accompanied by quality wine. One of the bests meals we've had in while.
We went there for our anniversary night, the lady sat us by the window which really lovely watching the winter sunset.nMust do the Lamb Shoulder, it’s superb and plenty of to share.nWe loved the selection of entrees too, our fave is the Carpaccio and Crudo.nThe young man made a great cocktails too!
Had a really nice lunch here on a beautiful sunny day. It's a busy spot but the staff did a good job of fitting us in, as we didn't book but I get the feeling we were lucky and you should book. Our food was pretty good, some of the ingredients in a couple dishes were quite bizarre king fish and salmon I'm looking at you but not bad! Service was great, drinks and meals came out fairly promptly, and overall we had a great time!
My expensive aged steak was very tough, it was replaced by another dish by which time my other guests had finished and all veges were consumed leaving me with a dry dish. The lady at check out said they wouldn’t charge me for the steak just the lamb . All well and good until she added the steak was top quality and it was tough due to it being cooked med well done . In other words my fault ! Not a great way to end the evening , we won’t be back and we’ll be sure to let people know why . Should have been handled better at the check out . The waitress was wonderful and had handled it really well till that point.
Staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The cocktails were well made and the food was delicious. Their recommendations were spot on. Our group really enjoyed the crispy potatoes, market fish, and sirloin steak.
