I stopped into the Golden Bear brewing Company to get a beer and some drinking water. The service was great and they had a good selection of microbes that appeared to be brewed on location. I had the cosmic haze IPA and it was very very good. I come from the Seattle area where there are literally hundreds of microbrews to test out, and this ranked right up there with the best that I’ve tried in the Pacific Northwest of the USA.
Location is great. Staff friendly but food is really sub standard. Corn chips and salsa from the supermarket - hardly a good representation of the food, ribs came out looked like entree sized. The beer was great but the food is at a point of under delivery
The bar staff I dealt with on my visit was incredibly friendly. She was helpful and quite knowledgeable. Beers here were surprisingly good, the Death hammer APA was exceptional and the beef burger, while not much to look at, was one of the nicest beef burgers I've had in a long time. Pleasantly surprised by this little brewery.
