Food great. Service poor.nI have wanted to visit this place for years as it always seems popular and we travel into Mapua most years when holidaying in Motueka or Golden Bay.nThe service was average. The person who served us was quite rude on a number of occasions, including to my daughter who asked about water and was told rudely 'you can't be here without an adult' I get that it's a bar, but seriously, the attitude . The lady who dropped off the food was lovely and the food really yummy, but overall, the experience left us not wanting to go back.nThe food is mostly Mexican, very tasty but spicy for kids, and they don't have a kids menu.
Golden Bear Brewing have really good Lager, Pilsner, IPA, Hazy pale ale selection. Mapua Wharf have great craft beer place. Mapua Wharf have plenty of food and shop options . If you are tourist and visiting Nelson, Able Tasman, this is a must visit location. Beers are great and outdoor sitting and indoor have great views of the bay and harbour.

Food was not great, I ordered ribs for $25, what came out was 5 pieces with hardly no meat on the bone! Plus nothing else on the plate.nNacho's were soggy and didn't taste the best, but we ate it because we were hungry.nService wasn't much better, just take your order while trying to serve other people...nGreat spot, music and atmosphere.. sad the food and service let it down.
The perfect stop on our way back from Abel Tasman. The nachos were delicious and everything on the menu was well priced. The live music contributed to a great vibe.
