Story

Hi and welcome to our luxury Bed & Breakfast, Lake Tekapo and Tekapo Retreat, our self contained rental home!

Both of which enjoy magnificent views overlooking Lake Tekapo and the surround spectacular visions of the Southern Alps. An oasis in the Mackenzie area, make time to relax and take in the tranquility and panoramic views, or join in the many activities to be had near Lake Tekapo. From a flight around Mt Cook to tramping Mt John or sitting in the hot pools to fishing in the Lake, your chose. Five minutes walk from the Tekapo village where you can pick up supplies or go to one of the many restaurants/cafes and bars. Only 1 ½ hrs from Mt Cook, great for that day trip, or if you want to have a break between traveling between Queenstown and Christchurch, we are about half way.

Our Bed and Breakfast, Lake Tekapo has 4 rooms to choose from and offer either a full cooked breakfast or continental, all home made.

Creepy place, felt like we were being watched, wouldn't be surprised if there are hidden cameras here! No staff on site, so no one to assist with bad guests. Location is far away from town. Room is very cheap, bed was like sleeping on a high quality hard wood floor. There is no breakfast served here, so the reviews saying they had breakfast are fake. Safety: Not good. Food & drinks: None.
Great little room in Tekapo, we were staying for 1 night to see the lake and also do star gazing so this was the perfect little stop over with allocated parking included although you could just as easily park on the road.Rooms: 5/5
This place boasted great views. None to be seen. Cramped but it was quiet and the bathroom was almost as big as the unit.Rooms: 3/5
I think it's good for a short stop like a nite along a long ride. The room was good, there r plates, bowls, cutlery for u, however, the bed was not so comfortable for us as we were used to having the bed rest, this bed didn't . The town is very small, most of the restaurant close by 6, but there's a super market where u can buy a take-away meal
Fantastic place to stay. Don’t mind the other people who have reviews on this accommodation, they don’t even know where they are….. very modern, tidy and clean rooms in a lovely b&b style house great view of the lake and mountains. Simple and clear communication from the property owner who made sure we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.
A Gem in Lake Tekapo, lovely view of Lake Tekapo, welcoming staff and an easy stroll to the town centre. Loved the service. Staff were extra helpful. Comfortable Rooms and very easy access to shops. My check in was late but staff was super accommodating. Very clean and tidy place. Would surely visit again. A++++++++++++++ Service. Thumbs Up !!!
We were abit late 6.38pm due to flat tyre and needing to find somewhere to get tyre repaired and no reception leading to ph ahead by 6pm. When we got there, no one would a answer their phones, so we walked in and no staff, so phoned number on whiteboard to find which room we were in. But when you walked in thr was a horrible overppowering odour in the reception area and I was hoping it wasnt in the room and luckily it wasnt as bad in the rooms.. bit on all a pleasant place to stay.. Food & drinks: Luckily our road it almost opposite the village shops for dinner and breky..
Absolutely stunning accommodation with superb star gazing opportunities. A short walk to local restaurants and bars. Ideally placed for visiting Mt Cook etc. I would return.Rooms: 5/5

BEST TRIP EVER!! Highly recommend it for any kind of travel though staff over there were very kind and caring the room was heated and the view was lovely definitely recommend five stars will definitely come back hereRooms: 5/5
